Imagine the teen, dressed-up, pretending to be an adult, talking and socializing the way they perceive older people to interact. The teen is out of their element, excited, craving social attention. That is how I am thinking of this New Moon in Gemini: chatty, scattered and a little hyper, excited for a new experience that it may not be emotionally or intellectually ready.

And maybe I have the image of my much younger self in mind, due to Venus in Leo applying a sextile to Uranus in Gemini. Bold attraction aligns with electrified social energy. Personalities are fascinating, parties are enticing. It is more about the romance of the moment than something structured and long lasting.

Even if your party days are behind you like mine, capturing the charged energy of the New Moon can help you over the next couple of months, when we experience Mercury in Retrograde. We are primed to come up with new ideas and seize moments of opportunity. It is our last hurrah before the slow-down and review.

Mercury is currently in the sign of Cancer, which means that there is a mutual reception between the Moon in Gemini and Mercury. These two planets are in cahoots, just like two teens plotting their escapade. Sheer emotion feeds ideas and information ignites excitement.

Just like a teen, Mercury is sextile to Mars in Taurus. Confidence in the ability to defend your own ideas takes place around the New Moon. This is the energy of being busy with activities and standing up for beliefs. Along with the new moon, the Mercury-Mars sextile is advantageous for exploring new opportunities.

(Just to note, though I am using the teenager analogy of the energy around the new moon, there is a No Kings Protest on the 14th. I am not belittling the importance of this event, in fact, I think the energy of the day is conducive to the protest.)

With Mercury applying a conjunction to Jupiter in Cancer, perspectives are broadened for the next few weeks. Like a teenager, we are concerned with the largest, most comprehensible understanding of the world and how it operates. There is a desire to understand various viewpoints and a tolerance of different beliefs. Optimism abounds through foresight, seeing the possibilities of what “could be.” Details are not front and center, but instead, it is about making connections and transactions.

If you are out and about during the New Moon, you could have some issues with personal discipline, just like the average teen. This is due to Venus in Leo still within the orb of a conjunction to Jupiter in Cancer. However, there could be some financial luck, there is more of a probability to overspend, due to the lack of control. For the most part, there are warm feelings, and relationships tend to go well on this day. I wouldn’t doubt with the excited energy and Venus in Leo, that some new bold and daring declarations of love or attraction happen on this day.

If you are the one with a crush, check yourself first that you are seeing the situation clearly. With Venus trine to Neptune in Aries, you could be buying into your fantasies. Even with the signs of Leo and Aries, the planets pull towards unselfish acts and a search for spiritual connection. Creative pursuits are a good way to explore the energy, and it could help sort some of the fog between what you are feeling and the reality of your relationships. Since energy is electric on this day, releasing some of the excitement in a productive manner can help.

Venus in opposition to Pluto continues the intensity, and that teenage excitement is amplified. Some will feel compelled to pour every ounce of their being into a romantic encounter. There is a charged quality to this weekend when it comes to romance, and indiscretion or new relationships can have a compulsive nature. You may feel like you met your soulmate, when in actuality, it could just be lust and attraction that is driving you to make decisions.

Since Mars is in Taurus and in sextile to Mercury, if you are not someone who succumbs to reckless behavior, much of this exciting energy may be more in your head than acted upon. Use this angsty, restless energy to create, come up with ideas and dream of what you want in your life. The energy this weekend is great for shaking up and releasing stagnation.

And a good, responsible way to channel the energy is through humanitarian pursuits. With Jupiter in Cancer trine to Neptune in Aries, idealism can connect you to others. Though this trine can put us in a dreamy, lackadaisical state, if you take the excitement of the weekend and channel it, you can do something that aids the ambition of a larger group.

Even though Saturn is in its fall in the sign of Aries, if you can channel this energy in a productive and positive manner, combining persistence and discipline will serve you well. Persistence is something that many teens embrace, but as adults we tend to lean on discipline. Saturn gives us the opportunity to lean into that independent and pioneering spirit while being grounded and practical.

On a side note, last year when we had the New Moon in Gemini, Uranus was in Taurus. The energy back then felt heavy and unmovable. Now, it feels different, a bit unsettled but with a desire to change our futures. As the first Gemini New Moon that is co-present with Uranus, we could feel our minds opening to new experiences. Keep that in mind, because this New Moon is about change, which is what the teen years are all about. Unbridled enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude to break the status quo is possible. But we also need to talk about what is happening with Saturn. At the same time that Venus and Jupiter are making a conjunction, Saturn and Mercury are squared to each other. So what does this all mean?

Essentially, it is good luck and good vibes bumping up against restrictions and serious subjects.

Venus Conjunct Jupiter

When Venus conjuncts Jupiter, luck is activated. Our mood is lifted and we tend to feel good about our lives. We could be grateful for our relationships, feel positive about our career trajectory, or desire social interactions. The downside with this conjunction is that we may not have much discipline, but Saturn has that covered.

One thing worth noting: the Moon is in its waning state, so starting something brand new may not be the best use of this energy, since it may not have lasting power. This is a great day, however, to do things you do on a routine basis, like getting a haircut, visiting a coffee shop, or getting a massage.

Mercury Square Saturn

When Mercury squares Saturn, it is a good day for disciplined thought. Schedule detailed work that requires heavy mental focus. With Mercury in Cancer and Saturn in Aries, thoughts on how you handled responsibilities in the past may come to the surface. This is not a great day for negotiations or discussions, due to the potential for misinterpretations or hurt feelings. This square can bring pessimism and a tendency to dwell on flaws.

On the positive side, it is a great day to fix and repair projects you’ve been working on. If you have a manuscript or a research project, this is a great time to review your work and make adjustments. Avoid being narrow-minded and instead focus on the minor details that could use some tweaking.

These two configurations can actually work together, as long as we don’t get lost in the negative side of Saturn.

Usually the energy of Saturn will dominate, however since Saturn is in its Fall in the sign of Aries, it does not carry its usual strength. Jupiter in Cancer, on the other hand, is in its exaltation. One other thing that makes this Jupiter more potent: it is out of its shadow from the previous retrograde. This conjunction happens approximately once a year, and these are the two benefics, planets that usually work in our favor.

This day will be most beneficial for those who have Jupiter or Venus in one of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn) around 25 degrees, and it favors the cardinal rising signs.

We have the last four weeks of Jupiter in its exaltation, before it leaves the sign of Cancer and moves into the sign of Leo on June 30th. This month, especially after the new moon on the 14th, is a great time to focus on anything you wish to grow.

The first three weeks of the month, we have the Sun in Gemini. Gemini energy is about duality and communication, asking questions and being flexible with our thoughts and assumptions. Though the energy is restless, embrace curiosity, even with your own convictions. Challenge yourself to see situations from multiple viewpoints.

We will have a Mercury Retrograde which starts at the end of the month. This retrograde will give you time to digest everything you’ve learned and absorbed over the past few months. Since Mercury will be in Cancer for the entire month, the information you’ve taken in may be digested emotionally. Your feelings come into play with your intellect. Some of us may have an opportunity over the next couple of months of mending bridges.

At the end of the month, we will have some intense energy as Mars applies its energy to Uranus. With Mercury and the Full Moon happening on the 29th, and Jupiter leaving Cancer on the 30th, expect a shift in energy which intensifies in July.

June 1st through June 6th

We start the month with a Mercury ingress into the sign of Cancer. The news cycle will be a little slower but could carry an emotional punch. Discussions of security, family, and national protection dominate. Housing sales or multi-generational housing could also be a focus in the media over the next few months, since Mercury will be in Cancer until August 9th when it enters the sign of Leo. The long stay in Cancer has to do with Mercury going into retrograde at the end of the month.

However, with Mercury square to Neptune in Aries, have discernment with anything that is being promoted in the news. For instance, if there are reports that your safety is in jeopardy, do some research to determine if the report is valid. There is a tendency of emotional deception through the 6th of the month, so be wary of hyperbole. Mercury is also out of bounds in declination, so ideas can be anywhere from being ludicrous to being brilliant.

On the 2nd, the Sun in Gemini is sextile to Saturn in Aries. With Venus in Cancer applying a conjunction to Jupiter, this is a great day for long-term planning, especially something that you want to implement later. The energy is good for decorating or refurbishing your home.

Finances and relationship themes will continue through the week. There is a sense of excitement, and a temptation to spend, especially on luxury items. The vibes are eat, drink and be merry for most of the week, especially if you steer away from current events. However, with that said, be careful of overspending, since the temptation to buy that luxury handbag (or whatever it is that you have your eye on) is real.

June 7th through June 13th

Tie up loose ends and finish projects as this is the week before the New Moon. It is also a good week to research and write out plans that you want to start next week. Mars in Taurus is about taking your time, ensuring that whatever you finish has sustainability and comforting aesthetics.

Personally, I have been looking forward to the Venus and Jupiter conjunction in Cancer on June 9th. This can be a lucky day for some, especially if you have a tight Venus-Jupiter conjunction in your own chart. Just be careful of having negative thinking or doubt, since Mercury is square to Saturn in Aries. For instance, if a great opportunity comes your way, you may have an instinct that the situation is too good to be true, and usually there is validity in that mindset. However, this is a day where some discernment is good, but being critical can be a hindrance. The key is to ask for the details and listen, as opposed to being a naysayer, since real opportunities can be present.

You also could find yourself healing from a past relationship during this week, due to Venus’ square with Chiron. You may think of an ex or a past issue in a relationship, and it no longer has the impact it once had. Instead, it has morphed into an experience that you can use to help others.

Venus enters the sign of Leo on June 13th. Leo is bold and dramatic, and if you are in a new relationship, there is a chance of both of you declaring your love for each other, since the moon will be in conjunction with Uranus for part of the day. This can be a day of impulse, such as eloping or getting involved with a fling. There is a sense of let’s hurry up and do something exciting, but just know, what goes up eventually comes down, and that includes being overly enthusiastic about whatever tryst you are involved in.

The shadow period of Mercury in retrograde starts on the 13th, when Mercury is at 16°19’ in the sign of Cancer. Keep this in mind, since some themes over the next couple of weeks may be revisited during Mercury’s retrograde.

June 14th through June 20th

The Gemini New Moon occurs on June 14th at 24°03’. When the New Moon is at the exact degree, there are no major aspects with it. The New Moon is its own energy, even though it is co-present to Uranus. Though Gemini is associated with messaging, news, writing, and social activity, this moon is multi-faceted and diversified. The house placement for you is where you want to look for endings and new beginnings.

The moon is out of bounds during the New Moon, a declination of 27 degrees and 58 minutes to the north, out of the sun’s path. When the Moon is out of bounds, emotions can be heightened for some individuals. Saturn is slightly out of the orb of influence with Neptune, and Mercury in Cancer and the Moon in Gemini are in a mutual reception. Mercury and the Moon are supporting each other through disposition, allowing for intellect and emotions to be in harmony. Discussions about boundaries and the emotional toll of authority could come to the surface. Even though the energy is heightened, with the Moon-Mercury mutual reception there could be a desire for understanding.

With that said, if you are engaging in conversation within your relationships, each of you may be more passionate about your point of view. You could, without realizing it, be putting restrictions on each other. The key here is to put yourself in the other person’s perspective and to take both an intellectual and nurturing approach to your disagreements. Are you respecting each other as individuals or are you trying to make the other person behave or live up to your expectations?

Chiron has been at 29 degrees in the sign of Aries for the past few weeks. Chiron in Aries is about the wounds and healing of leadership and individualism. It exposes our naivety and our selfish nature. On the 19th, Chiron will temporarily move into the sign of Taurus, where the desire for stability, security and comfort will be challenged. Chiron will stay in the sign of Taurus until September 17th, when it will retrograde back into the sign of Aries until April 17th, 2027.

The brief preview of Chiron and Taurus will help expose what happens when we don’t take accountability for our individual actions, and some will feel it in their pocketbooks or through their resources. Our spontaneity in our decision making and biases is what comes to the surface. While Chiron is in Taurus, other issues will emerge, such as stubbornness with staying a course that keeps us in our comfort zone. Ideally, we learn to make informed choices based on what solves a root cause instead of what feels good in the moment, something that will be evaluated in 2034.

June 21st through June 27th

We have the Summer Solstice on June 21st, when the Sun enters the sign of Cancer. Astronomically, the Earth’s hemisphere reaches its maximum tilt toward the Sun, resulting in the longest day and shortest night of the year. It is the start of summer, and Cancer season is when cardinal energy comes front and center.

The Sun and Chiron will be in a tight conjunction, so memories and emotions come to the surface. This is a great day to spend time with the family and it just happens to be Father’s Day. Depending on your background, this could be a day of healing or emotional turmoil, so you may want to prepare ahead of time by finding ways to create comfort and nurturing for yourself.

However, if you have a strained relationship with a parent, you may be more tolerant of their opposing viewpoints and interpretations of your relationship. This is due to Mercury being conjunct to Jupiter in the sign of Cancer. Since Mercury is almost stationary, you may not be changing each other’s minds, but you could come to the understanding that not everyone is programmed the same way.

The Sun also makes a square to Neptune, and goes exact on the 25th. When the Sun is square to Neptune, we can get overwhelmed with the circumstances surrounding us. Our energy tends to be low and the mood can feel somewhat hopeless. However, keep in mind, this energy is temporary, and is usually caused by our idealism. The key here is not to have expectations and allow events to unfold.

But the 25th is unique in some other ways. We are given a preview of the Barbault Basket, an aspect configuration that has had much hype over the past few years, some astrologers are optimistic, while others are not. I personally fall in-between. What is happening on this day is that Jupiter is at 29 degrees, in the sign of Cancer, and is applying out of sign aspects to Uranus (disruption and change,) Neptune (idealism and murkiness) and Pluto (power and transformation.) Neptune and Pluto are at 4 degrees and Uranus is at 3 degrees.

This is why I believe the 25th is a preview for the full basket configuration that perfects on July 19th. Between now and then, Jupiter ingresses into Leo on the 30th, and Mars applies a conjunction to Uranus that goes exact on July 3rd. The planets are setting up a pressure cooker of sorts, with the Sun on the 25th already making awkward minor aspects to the outer planets signaling that something is building.

With that said, this week will feel like something is ready to drop. This could be something as simple as issues with the World Cup, which starts on June 11th and wraps up on the day of the basket configuration on July 19th, when Jupiter is at 4 degrees in Leo. But it could also have something to do with the July 4th celebrations, since Mars and Uranus conjunct on the 3rd.

Overall, this week feels intense but it may be hard to put your finger on exactly why. I recommend taking things slow this week, pay attention to your environment and don’t push buttons, figuratively and literally. Countries could engage in some defensive maneuvers, or exaggerate their optimism in regards to any military action.

June 28th through June 30th

We start off the week with Mars ingressing into the sign of Gemini on the 28th and Mars will remain in Gemini until August 11th. If you are an Aries rising, please pay attention to the road when driving, and do not drive and text. Honestly, most drivers may be distracted the next two months, so please do what you can to stay safe. Keep in mind, it is car travel season, so there will be drivers in unfamiliar territory. My suggestion: take deep breaths, allow additional time for your commutes and don’t be in a rush.

We will have a little over two months of fast, aggressive information coming our way. With Mars and Uranus both in the same sign and just a few degrees apart, expect unusual news and surprises. I am not saying the information will be factual, so check sources, but there can be an onslaught of half-baked assumptions, especially in the media.

Mercury is stationing this week and goes into retrograde on the 29th. Themes of home and family will be revisited during the retrograde, as well as defense. A productive task to do over the next few weeks is going through your old photos and videos, and organize or protect them. This could be creating a shared drive with family members so that everyone has access, but you may want to ensure that no one can delete them.

Retrogrades give us time to retool projects and tie up loose ends. Though they are not opportune for starting something new, Mercury in Cancer could help you gain perspective on family members, especially those who have a different world view than yours. Studying history around their developmental years could give you insight on how their psyche was developed.

We have the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 29th. I’d expect a focus to be on authority figures, structures and traditions. The moon will be making an applying square to Saturn in Aries. How leadership is or isn’t serving the masses will be illuminated. With the fixed star Facies conjunct the Moon, we could explore the themes of being so driven and hardworking that we push forward until we exhaust our energy. We could see people in high positions having losses.

On a personal level, the Full Moon is about checking in on how you are handling your responsibilities and what you have left to do in regards to your goals. Take stock of your accomplishments and let the energy of your past successes motivate you on your current journey.

On the 30th, Jupiter enters the sign of Leo. Jupiter by nature is optimistic and forward thinking. In Leo, the generous nature of Jupiter is exemplified, and we go from a protective energy into one that is bold and daring. With Jupiter applying an opposition to Pluto in Aquarius, there is a desire for success, especially when it comes to creative endeavors. Keep in mind, ruthless and cutthroat actions will backfire, especially if you are being retaliatory. The lesson over the next month is to use this energy to benefit all parties and not just yourself.

Though Mars and Uranus make an exact conjunction on July 3rd, I cannot leave this month without discussing the importance of this conjunction. Though this conjunction happens approximately every two years, it is associated with rash behavior. With Jupiter in sextile to this conjunction, we could observe people making some poor decisions. With that said, be observant over the next week. Please don’t make decisions based on belief or fear. This energy can be optimistic, as long as you approach everything with a clear head. But just know, that almost anything can happen, especially over the US holiday weekend.

In addition, we have the moon out of bounds during the Full Moon. This is a common occurrence and most commonly happens when the moon is in the sign of Gemini, Cancer, Sagittarius and Capricorn. In Gemini and Cancer, the moon is out of bounds to the Sun’s path in the north and while in Sagittarius or Capricorn, the moon is out of bounds to the south. The out of bounds energy acts as a wild card, giving the moon an untethered feel, as if anything emotionally, intuitively or introspectively can happen.

Besides the moon, Mercury and Venus are also out of bounds, both to the North of the Sun’s path. With three entities outside of the Sun’s path, this Full Moon is potent with possibilities. Mercury out of bounds allows for unconventional thought and communication that is inventive and surprising. Venus in the out of bounds state allows us to take risks within our relationships, through negotiations and our expression of love and beauty. How we communicate our innermost thoughts and feelings within the confines of our relationships can be liberating during this Full Moon.

Like the prior New Moon, a Behenian fixed star is prominent with the Full Moon in Sagittarius. The Moon is at 9 degrees and 55 minutes and just 12 minutes conjunct, is the fixed star of Antares at 10 degrees and 8 minutes. The name of Antares is traced back to the Greeks, as being “like Ares,” due to its red color and association with Mars. Antares is one of the four Royal Stars of Persia, considered the Watcher of the West. It is part of the constellation of Scorpius and is known as either the breast or heart of the Scorpion.

So why am I discussing a Fixed Star instead of the Full Moon? It is because of the current dynamics of the United States, Israel and Iran. During the New Moon in Taurus, Algol figured prominently with the three countries. Antares, however, is only present in Benjamin Netanyahu’s chart, conjunct to his Chiron in the first house.

Antares isn’t the only fixed star worth noting. Aldebaran, the Watcher of the East, is conjunct to the Sun during the Full Moon. While the Sun in Gemini is at 9 degrees and 55 minutes, Aldebaran is at 10 degrees and 9 minutes, just 13 minutes from the Sun.

These two stars can give us some insight on what is happening in the world, which is illuminated through the Full Moon. Antares and Aldebaran are two potent stars, and since the Full Moon is an accumulation of the energy before it, it is worth exploring the meaning and ramifications of these stars.

Antares represents obsessive passion. It is a star of great success but it is associated with self-undoing. Due to its intensity, going to extremes can happen when this star is activated. When drama occurs for the sake of drama, all gains tend to be lost. Being grandiose is a sure fire way of losing whatever matters are occurring, especially if wrought with emotional turmoil.

However, balancing with the Sun is Aldebaran. Aldebaran also can bring success, but instead of through effort and experience like Antares, success is tied to moral integrity. Having a reputation for honesty and respect is necessary. Compromising integrity hampers the positive effect of Aldebaran.

Will there be a peace deal and treaty by the Full Moon? Unfortunately, I think it is doubtful but not entirely impossible, especially if the rhetoric is toned down. Part of this has to do with the parties involved, but the other is Mars being at 9 degrees and 17 minutes in the sign of Taurus. This placement is an inconjunct (quincunx) to the Full Moon, an awkward, annoying aspect that can cause distrust and agitation. It makes it hard for the parties involved to visualize how the others would take action.

Besides world events, I do think looking at these stars can be good to recognize on a personal level. Since the Full Moon highlights your activities, you can think about the lessons of these two stars.

This Full Moon is about looking at your past successes and failures, and whether you honored your word, had integrity or if you bulldozed your way, creating drama and harm to others. Did you give up what you believed in? Did you gain your success through experience and work? Did you work positively with passion or were you obsessed?

If you haven’t been tackling your life with expertise and a steady hand, this Full Moon could showcase your flaws. However, if you’ve been diligent, hard working and true to your words and intentions, your efforts could be highlighted in a positive light.

But this Full Moon isn’t just about the fixed stars of Antares and Aldebaran. There are aspects with the Moon and Sun, as well as the other astrological transits to explore.

The Sagittarius Moon is in trine to Saturn and Neptune, the two culprits that have been zapping our energy and wearing away our foundations. With the Moon separating from its trine to Neptune, our imaginations are given an extra boost. This is energy that can be used towards creative daydreaming. But keep in mind, some of your ideas may not be original, since you could be tapping into something from the collective consciousness.

The Moon is applying its trine to Saturn, which gives the ability to keep emotions under control. There is a steadiness to this Full Moon, as long as one doesn’t allow false beliefs, pride or grandstanding to get in the way of their efforts. With the influence of the fixed stars to the Full Moon, Saturn can add a grounded, responsible energy. But, keep in mind, Saturn creates limits, so pushing past those limits can cause issues.

Mercury in Gemini is sextile to Chiron in Aries during the Full Moon. It is possible to come to the realization that you’ve healed from a past painful conversation, and you may gain understanding of the purpose of the relationship. There is the ability to see the situation from multiple perspectives, and to put yourself into the shoes of another person.

Venus in Cancer begins its applying conjunction to Jupiter. We only have about a month left of Jupiter in Cancer, and this is the time to partake in its ability to create growth and optimism. The energy of Venus combined with Jupiter is great for relationships and finances, as long as you don’t over indulge, so no Hermes’ bags unless you have millions in your bank account! Over the coming weeks, luck has an opportunity to be on your side, especially if you have Venus or Jupiter in your natal chart in the later degrees of Cancer.

Mars in Taurus made an exact square with Pluto in Aquarius on the evening of the 25th, and this energy is carried into the Full Moon on the 31st, as Mars separates from Pluto. This aspect is great for transforming your relationships but there is a huge caveat. Pluto and Mars squares encourage power struggles, a tit for tat and can lead to butting heads. The key here is not to go into negotiations with the idea of winning, but instead, go in with the motivation to understand and grow from the experience.

Overall, this Sagittarius Full Moon is about putting your past beliefs to the side, taking responsibility for your past statements and listening to the other parties involved. There is the ability to gain understanding and with work and diligence, to come to productive agreements. The key is to avoid dramatics or a lack of participation and to look at whatever is happening in your life from various points of view. This Full Moon taps into our optimism and allows us to grow. Battles are not meant to be won, but to be resolved.

Relationships, especially those that have to do with the fundamental resources that sustain us, will be pushed to be reborn or end. This includes on a geopolitical scale as well as your personal relationships. Mutually beneficial relationships could have a fresh start, due to the presence of Ceres conjunct to the New Moon. This is why I mentioned in my May article about building community gardens and pantries. However, there is a star that can cause havoc, especially for those who prefer a selfish stance within their partnerships.

Algol is probably one of the most feared Behenian fixed stars. When I tell clients that they have Algol in their chart, their eyes widen and worry crosses their face. It is important to know though that there is nothing to fear about Algol, because when you go past the darkness of this star, it becomes the gateway to all that is spiritual. However, there are some, who have this star in their chart, that linger in the negative instead of moving through this energy to the other side of it.

This passionate star is part of the constellation of Perseus and is known as the head of the beast. This is a dual star which changes in brightness, and has lore throughout historical cultures. The more one digs into this star, we realize how complex and powerful it is. Associated with both violence and artistry, this star can sound like a contradiction, but that desire to create is the same energy of destruction. It is the act of change, the catalyst to take what is inside and push it into existence.

With Algol’s conjunction to the Taurus New Moon, we could see some loss or personal tragedies in the world, which with current events, is expected. But when we push through and go beyond destruction and violence, this dynamic can lead to standing at the threshold of change. It can inspire humanity to link together, to attach ourselves to a joint cause that aligns with social consciousness.

Since New Moons are both endings and beginnings, and with Algol, there could be rumblings of a passionate desire to change the current script. But, with this energy in the sign of the bull, willfulness and stubbornness is present. The lesson here is to learn to break out of your comfort zone, instead of letting the melancholy sadness of the world take over.

Yes, there is a chance of some tragedies happening around this New Moon. Considering Algol is conjunct to the US president’s Midheaven as well as the chart of Iran, and conjunct to Israel’s Sun, there could be renewed attacks or violence. However, there is more to the story than Algol and the New Moon. Ideally, if we leaned into the nurturing energy of the Moon and Ceres, we could find harmonious resolutions.

Another mundane note is that Mars is in an exact conjunction to Chiron during the New Moon, in the fiery, warrior sign of Aries. When I look at the charts of Iran, Israel, the US and other pertinent charts, it does appear that tensions and conflicts will escalate. There are opportunities though for the US to take the higher road, but due to pride and hidden agendas, this likelihood for peace talks is slim, but not impossible.

Uranus, in the sign of Gemini, is six degrees from the New Moon. Uranus is the wild card, and with its applying trine to Pluto in Aquarius, we could see people coming together for a common cause. However, Uranus can bring on rash emotional behavior with its proximity to the Moon and a hostility towards any authoritative restriction due to its orb of influence to the Sun.

Needless to say, on the world stage, this is an intense New Moon. However, this doesn’t mean it isn’t a productive New Moon for you. When tensions are high, it can motivate us to make changes and get our long list of tasks completed. The key here is not to let fear cloud your judgement or paralyze you.

Instead, have productive conversations. Though we may be more inclined to talk than listen, due to Mercury’s conjunction with the New Moon, it is important to put yourself into the perspective of the other party. Self-involvement is not going to do anyone good.

Though Mercury is fixed, Uranus is in an out of sign conjunction with it and the New Moon. There is a desire to shake things up, to go against the grain and say something that catches the other person off-guard. Though the Moon conjunct to Mercury makes it easier to discuss feelings, Uranus and Algol can be mischievous if not devious. No one during this weekend will want to be told what to do, regardless of the nature of your relationship.

The best way to handle this time period is to think of communication as an act of discovery and understanding instead of trying to get your way in a situation. Try your best not to make hasty decisions or judgments. If conversations sour on the 16th, pick them back up on the 18th or 19th, when the energy of the New Moon is no longer entangled with Algol and Uranus.

So you may be asking yourself, what is good about this New Moon? Actually, there are a lot of good things about this New Moon, especially if we widen our perspective.

For instance, there is a mutual reception happening with Mercury in Taurus and Venus in Gemini. Each planet is a dispositor for the other, which can help with communication. This is one of the many reasons why relationships take center stage during the New Moon. Counsel with those who are more aligned with feminine energy is beneficial.

Venus and Mars are sextile to each other, balancing the ability to stand on your own ground while relating to the other person’s perspective. With Jupiter in Cancer sextile to Ceres in Taurus, what everyone is craving right now is nurturance and love. Comprehending that we are all on edge, feeling the uncertainty of resources, governments, and finances can go a long way when having conversations or negotiations.

Regardless of what is happening in your personal life, the one thing we can all do is be part of a community. With Neptune co-present to Saturn, the reality is that our past structures are being worn away. Building new communities, ones that can provide support and needs, is one of the best ways to embrace this New Moon. In essence, discussion leads to the knowledge that we are all in this together.

Taurus’ ruler is Venus, and together we recognize the gifts from Earth and nature in peak bloom. In its idealistic state it can be romantic, sensual and comforting.

But this May starts off differently than my imaginary muse. Venus is in Gemini, and instead of relishing the comforts around her, she’s got questions. Serious questions. She wants to know what direction the world is headed. Curious, she questions who is responsible for the mess and who is going to take ownership and clean it up. She’s looking for insights, something that comes from deeper knowledge, and a passion to change the dynamics around her.

As we get acquainted with the new month and the changing astrology, let’s look at some of the primary planetary ingresses and Full and New Moons. You may notice that we do have two Full Moons this month. The second Full Moon is considered a Blue Moon, which is when you have two Full Moons within one month. However, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, it is considered a micromoon, happening the day before the moon’s apogee on June 1. The apogee is the moon’s furthest distance from Earth, making the moon appear smaller and not as bright.

May 1st through May 9th:

We start the month off with a Full Moon in the sign of Scorpio. This can be an introspective Full Moon, and may cause intense emotions during the process. However, since it is in the sign of Scorpio, the modus operandi is to shine a spotlight on root causes; going deeper than you’ve gone before.

For those with a Taurus or Scorpio Rising sign, you could get some clarity and insight in regards to the past seven years. With Uranus no longer in your sign (or in opposition,) you may find yourself reflecting on how much in your life has changed. You’ve had quite a few upsets and the occasional pleasant surprise. You may have learned that being overly stubborn, obsessive or fixated did not work in your favor, and you could realize the reasons why during this Full Moon.

On the second, Mercury enters the sign of Taurus. When Mercury is in Taurus, we think about practical matters, such as the price of gasoline and how to use our resources sustainably. But we are also tempted by the creature comforts that make life enjoyable. The pace slows slightly, as some look forward to summer vacations or the upcoming late spring and summer holidays.

Mercury will also be in an applying square to Pluto, so be careful with obsessive thoughts or trying to push your view onto others. Pluto goes to extremes, but is best when it helps us to transform and grow our perspective instead of camping out in a fixed dynamic. However, with both Taurus and Aquarius being fixed signs, your interactions and debates with others may be about butting heads rather than exploring each other’s perspective.

Almost anything can happen with Mars squaring Jupiter. This square is exact on the 4th, and yeah, you just may feel that the “fourth is with you!” since optimism is the driving force. This is great energy to push through projects, just be careful not to get lost in belief of what can be and instead, have a clear direction with the work you are doing. You may be tempted to go past your limitations, but keep in mind, that could lead to burnout.

As we get to Friday the 8th, Mercury is applying a conjunction with the Sun. Communication generally quickens during these times, however, most of the communication will be on more practical matters. This is the type of energy where you could receive an email about water conservation or some other daily event, like trash pick-up, or a text from a loved one on picking up something from the store.

This could be a good time for conversations about relationships. Venus and Mars are sextile to each other, where each party can stand their own ground without offending the other person. Just be careful of talking so much about your personal story without listening.

May 10th through May 16th:

On the 14th, we have the Sun-Mercury cazimi at 23°48’ in the sign of Taurus. Ceres, the dwarf planet that signifies the mother, nurturing, food, grain, productivity and gardening, is conjunct the Sun-Mercury cazimi.

This conjunction often gives clarity and allows for a shift in perspective. For instance, if you have been feeling insecure about your own security and well-being, it may occur to you at this time that you are not the only one with these feelings. This could inspire you to grow microgreens or plant a garden, join a cooperative, or rally your neighbors to do bulk shopping together to save money. Not only are you thinking about your own nurturance but those of others. This powerful moment brightens the desire to be part of the village, working in unison for the betterment of all.

From the 14th through the 16th, you could be having some surprising breakthroughs in your relationships. With the Aries Moon, Mars and Chiron in conjunction, old wounds may bubble up, but instead of feeling the pain, you want to take action. With Mars in sextile to Venus, you are able to balance between self-assertion and love and affection. What this means is that you can tackle the situation without caving or sweeping the situation under the rug, especially if the conversation is a carry over from last week.

Where the breakthrough happens is communication. Mercury is in the final degrees of Taurus, perched between the Sun and Uranus in Gemini. During the conversation, you may have epiphanies and can see the situation from multiple vantage points. Not only can this bring understanding between you and those you care about, but you could realize that there are three viewpoints to most situations: yours, theirs and the truth. The ironic but wonderful part of this is that the truth takes into account that what we and others feel is just as important as the factual information.

On the 16th, we have the New Moon in Taurus. This could be a surprising and disruptive New Moon. Before you continue reading, I want to give you a heads up that I am about to discuss the worst case scenario. If you have a difficult time with taking in information like this, you may want to skip ahead to next week, since I will be discussing mundane astrology, specifically finances and resources.

Algol is one of the most powerful stars. Its orb of influence is 2°10’. During the New Moon, the Sun and Moon will be at 25°57’. Algol is at 26°31’, putting the New Moon just slightly over half a degree away from Algol. Ceres is at 25°0’, which is also within the orb of Algol.

Algol can bring on misfortune, violence, crisis or fires. It is often associated with the heads of state.

The New Moon occurs in the 8th house when I set the time for Washington, DC. The 8th house in mundane astrology is associated with financial relations with other countries. When I put the transit wheel to the US Sibley chart, the New Moon occurs in the 6th house, which is associated with the workers, including those in the army and navy.

Combining the above with the Aries Ingress chart for the United States, where the South Node is in the 4th house, indicating a drain or lack of workers on the land, the United States could have issues when it comes to certain resources.

Mars and Chiron are conjunct in the sign of Aries on the New Moon. The last time we had Chiron in Aries was during the 70s, which included the OPEC oil embargo, which led to gas shortages in the United States. Being a relatively young country, we can see that the last two times Chiron was in Aries, there was high inflation.

Before I elaborate further, I want to say that all things are temporary. I lived through the 70s, and my father worked at a gas station back then. People carpooled and drove only when needed. We learned to conserve resources.

With this New Moon in Taurus, we may be embarking on a time period where we have to get creative with our resources. This doesn’t mean we go without, but we may need to find ways to make things last, use less of certain items and not take for granted that everything will be on the shelves. Prices of items will continue to increase. We went through a similar scenario during the pandemic; it was a precursor, so it is not like we don’t know how to adjust.

With that said, I beg you not to hoard. Hoarding causes waste. Yes, prices will continue to rise. However, we have Ceres in the mix here, the feminine energy of taking something small like a seed and giving it the support it needs to grow. This is why I have mentioned on occasion to buy things like beans and seeds. When it comes to scraps, save them in the freezer to make broths. Replant vegetables when you can.

May 17th through May 23rd:

On the 17th, Mars enters the 29th degree and makes an applying square to Pluto in Aquarius. This transit tends to cause power struggles. If this transit doesn’t impact your own chart, just know that at work for the next two weeks, you may experience leaders butting heads, or an overemphasis of being strict about certain rules. As Mars moves into the sign of Taurus on the 18th, trying to change the direction of others may temporarily put your relationship at an impasse.

Mars is in its detriment when in Taurus. Taurus appreciates comfort, it is stable, practical and has a tendency to be stubborn. Mars is about initiative and assertiveness. It won’t be until June 28th when Mars enters Gemini. You could find people using the phrase “We’ve always done it this way,” but luckily we have other planets that can help Mars move things along.

The light here is Venus. Venus ingresses into the sign of Cancer just hours after Mars dives into Taurus. The sextile between the two can help with negotiations, without sacrificing your own interests. Diplomacy can work as long as the parties involved allow for some wiggle room. In relationships, being slow and methodical will have more success than just bulldozing with your own agenda. With Mercury in Gemini in trine to Pluto in Aquarius, the ability to get to the root cause of deep issues is possible.

On the 20th, we start Gemini season as the Sun enters the sign ruled by Mercury. On the 22nd, the Sun and Uranus will perfect their conjunction. Expect news to fly fast during these few days. This time period will be anything but dull. There is a good chance that the news will showcase accidents or issues with authority figures or people pushing against their leaders.

Since the breaking news happens at a quickened pace, there could be varying points of view and it could be hard to determine what is factual and what is conjecture. There could be a battling of wits between leaders (either of state or companies) who are in opposition or competitive with each other. One could talk with might while the other pokes fun at the absurdity. There is a duality that occurs in conversation, usually a serious tone combined with wit.

However, there is a chance of diplomacy, with Mercury in sextile to Saturn, each at 11°. Past experience is respected, and a critical eye can determine what needs to change. This is a practical sextile, and hopefully some of our leaders will lean into this energy (though I personally would not hold my breath, especially with the Mars-Pluto square.)

May 24th through May 31st:

On the evening of the 25th, Mars and Pluto make an exact square. Keep in mind, it is usually the days leading up to when the aspect perfects where we see the most activity. We experience this square about once a year.

The Mars-Pluto square is about tension and a battle of wills. I tend to think of it as two toddlers fighting over a toy, determined to get the item just because the other person has their hands on it. Essentially, it’s a power struggle of ego more so than about the end result. Thus, it can lead to rash actions as well as violence. Hopefully the energy of these two planets wanes enough before the Full Moon.

The Sagittarius Full Moon happens on the 31st. Everything from national wealth, the justice system, inquests, religion and law will be exposed or highlighted.

Aldebaran tightly conjuncts the Sun and Antares tightly conjuncts the Moon. These are two of the four Persian Royal Stars. Aldebaran, Watcher of the East, is associated with courage, power and honor, and Antares, Watcher of the West, is associated with authority, headstrong determination and hard work, among other things. Fixed stars add an additional punch to a placement.

Belief is strong with this Sagittarius Full Moon, especially when it comes to conflict and aggression. Unfortunately, there is a possibility of an escalation around the Full Moon. This Full Moon conjuncts the US Sibley chart’s natal Uranus and is conjunct the Islamic Republic of Iran natal Moon. Since Uranus is heavily involved in the US chart, they could be the wildcard and determine the direction: be it peace talks, an agreement, an escalation or something else.

Personally though, this can be an inspiring Full Moon. With the Moon trine to Saturn, there is a serious, contemplative tone with the ability to both reflect and keep emotions under control. With the supportive sextile to the Sun, you can execute plans to completion.

Scorpio Moons can be intense, since they tend to highlight what we keep hidden from ourselves. The degree of this Moon is 11 degrees and 20 minutes, so check your chart to see what placements are within 10 degrees of the Full Moon in the signs of Taurus or Scorpio. These placements can give an extra emphasis. For instance, if your Mercury is at 8 degrees Scorpio, you may spend this time intellectually sorting through your emotions. However, if your Neptune is at 19 degrees, you could escape into fantasizing about the past or dreaming of the future.

We will experience its exact degree at 12:23 PM CDT on May 1st, which falls on a Friday.

When we have a Full Moon, there is tension. It feels like we are being pulled in two different directions. The polarity here has to do with possessions and possessiveness. You could feel compelled to hold on to certain people or items during the Full Moon, but pruning what is holding you back may serve you better. Activities like cleaning out closets or reviewing your role in relationships could be illuminating during this Full Moon. There is also a pull between wanting to merge with others and retreating into your own inner world.

With the Moon in trine to Jupiter in Cancer, you may feel nostalgic and maternal during the Full Moon. This aspect brings out generosity, so if you did decide to clean out your closets, you may be inclined to donate some items. Jupiter aids in focusing on the well-being of others, and our beliefs color how we engage with this Full Moon energy. We could decide to do something that uplifts people or aids in social reform or charity.

During this day, Venus in Gemini is sextile to Saturn in Aries. This supportive aspect tends to focus on our responsibilities within our relationships. However, with Saturn in Aries, we may be a little naive, convincing ourselves that we do everything or that the other person doesn’t contribute. With the Moon in Scorpio, which is in its debility, we could take on the martyr role. However, if we lean into seeking truth, by asking ourselves the tough questions, we may shift our perspective, and gain deeper insight into not only what we bring to the table, but how we emotionally feel about our duties. Maybe we took on roles that were arbitrary instead of something that is truly required.

And these insights are aided by the Venus trine to Pluto in Aquarius. Sometimes, we want to express love through intensity. However, the air signs of Gemini and Aquarius can intellectualize our relationships. This doesn’t mean that they are less intense, but there is the added dimension of thought with feelings. With the Full Moon in Scorpio, you could be examining the root causes in society that keep us apart and tap into the desire for connection.

With Mars in Aries conjunct Saturn, these two planets create a slow burn. The good news is that they are in separation, and the impact of this conjunction dissipates around bedtime. If little things that others do have been irritating you, you could wake up the next day no longer feeling the agitation of these two planets.

With Mars applying a square to Jupiter, you could be more aware of opportunities, exploring projects or, in a rare case, bump into a new prosperous endeavor out of sheer luck. With Mars in its domicile and Jupiter in its exaltation, the key here is to take quick action. If someone mentions a new job, promotion or business venture to you, don’t brush it off. This resonates most for those with Cardinal rising signs: Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.

There is still a sense of malaise due to the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries. The good news is that the conjunction is separating, and by the end of May, these two planets will continue to be co-present but no longer in conjunction, and with that, the feeling of self-doubt begins to wane.

What Saturn is teaching us is perseverance and prudence. We are not meant to do everything, and knowing what our limits are helps us to retain our energy and equilibrium. But at the same time, you don’t want to sidestep your goals, be unproductive or neglect opportunities. With Jupiter in exaltation and Saturn in fall, it is about finding the middle ground without losing perspective.

And this takes us back to the Scorpio Full Moon. This is a moon of urges, of desire, of wanting to merge with others and be fully committed. But this moon is aware that when you burn yourself out, and don’t take the time to be introspective, you can lose sight of your deepest motivations and the root of any issues you are experiencing.

This is a complex Moon, but it doesn’t need to be. Take the time on this day to write down your priorities, and a list of what is holding you back. You may find that some of these obstacles are your own making, and that is the big reveal.

Bill Clinton was president of the United States and embroiled in sexual scandals, including the lawsuit of Paula Jones. Later that year, in September, Trump met Melania. Melania recently brought up the Epstein files in her brief press conference at the White House, reawakening attention to this matter.

But this new moon differs from the one in 1998. Even if some of the same characters are dominating politics and our news cycle, Chiron and Neptune give us personal insight into selfish and hedonistic actions. After Neptune’s journey through Pisces, when concealment was easier, we emerged with the ability to scrutinize, and are claiming back some of our boundaries with Neptune now in Aries (Neptune still blurs the lines, but it is not as murky as it was in Pisces.) Though it may still be difficult to determine the complete truth, the act of disguise is harder now, as information continues to spread rapidly.

In 1998, Chiron was in Scorpio, a sign ruled by Mars, and was square Venus, creating a vulnerability, especially for women. Now, Chiron is in Aries, also ruled by Mars, conjunct the new moon, allowing for healing, a fresh start, and a rediscovery of self. In 1998, just like now, sexual scandals dominated the news cycle. While 1998 brought a drug expanding options for men, the years since have seen women’s healthcare options narrow.

Though this new moon harkens to the past, it is a moon of moving forward, with calculated risks and motivation to tap into your hopes and dreams. Aries is the sign of self-generated action. It is not about waiting for permission or getting consensus from others. It is energy filled with adrenaline, the feeling you get at the start of a race, waiting for the starter to yell, ready, set, go!

As you push off and run, you push through the pain, finding the drive and motivation to access the pioneering spirit within. This is why this is an opportune new moon to start projects and take the lead in getting what you want.

But this new moon is not just about racing without responsibility or duty. We can’t talk about it without discussing the Saturn, Mars, Mercury and Neptune conjunction that is sextile to Pluto in Aquarius, the sign of collective progress through individual action.

When Mercury is in Aries, we quicken our pace, speak before we think, and don’t always listen or read everything thoroughly. When Mercury is conjunct Mars, the mind turns competitive and the tongue turns sharp. Add Neptune to that conjunction and the temptation grows to sidestep confrontation, blur the truth, or reframe reality to avoid accountability. Saturn in the mix can turn that energy cynical, pointing out the flaws in others rather than accepting our own insecurities.

At its most agitated, this configuration produces noise. Those who are unaware of the energy may find themselves drawn into pointless debates, keyboard conflicts, or the kind of combative back-and-forth that is useless and self-serving.

I said earlier that this is a powerful new moon, so why am I mentioning discord? It is because the energy above is just one side of the same coin. There is another side that allows for profound transformation in your life. Since you are aware of the possible negativity, you can navigate around it, flipping to the other side of the dynamic.

The sextile to Pluto offers the ability to tackle serious matters and arrive at real solutions. This is not energy that benefits from crowdsourcing or open debate. It rewards solitary work, trust in your own instincts, and the willingness to tune out voices that have no stake in your outcome. You may not find much external support under this new moon, but instead you will be able to hear your own inner voice loud and clear.

That Pluto sextile also gives you the ability to find your own solutions. This doesn’t mean you can’t welcome assistance, but that you seek guidance rather than hand over control. You can change your course through Mars, as long as you have a clear objective. With Saturn, you can narrow in on your goal and take purposeful, disciplined action. Pluto moves slowly, and so does real transformation. The key is patience and dedication.

Since Uranus is in Taurus at the 29th degree, there is a sense of urgency. With the sextile to Neptune and Mercury, you may feel like this is your last chance to build something practical and sustainable. Neptune activates your idealism, and the Mercury-Uranus sextile opens you up to new concepts, so you can tackle old problems with innovation and fresh ideas.

To make the most of this new moon, embrace change and choose communication that builds bridges rather than walls. Use this energy to construct something magnificent. It will take diligence, work and commitment, but enterprising Aries knows how to charge ahead and clear the path.

The South Node is in an inconjunct with Saturn, an awkward reminder that breaking from the past is possible, but it will take discipline and ambition. Jupiter, exalted in Cancer, is not pulling on the Aries stellium this lunation, but it is available. Leaning into optimism and trusting in a larger sense of abundance can carry you further than you might expect.

Though we know that Martian energy can stir conflict, I would be remiss not to offer a fair warning. With Venus applying a conjunction to Uranus, there can be disruptions or changes in your finances or relationships over the next week. You may decide to leave a situation that is no longer working for you. Separations can happen, but so can reconciliations, as long as you keep your cool.

Uranus is indiscriminate. Though it can easily produce chaos, it can also unveil pleasant surprises. A spontaneous commitment or a piece of unexpected good news can arrive when you least expect it.

As I circle back to the Aries new moon, Chiron’s conjunction can stir up old wounds. However, you may find that you’ve already done the healing, and that realization can make you feel unstoppable. You may find deep satisfaction in knowing that you took that pain and turned it into something meaningful, becoming a source of support or understanding for someone in a difficult predicament.

But maybe you are not quite there yet. If you feel that Martian anger toward any past perpetrators, use it to kick yourself into high gear. Have an “I’ll show them” attitude instead of a “woe is me.” That is empowerment. It is ok to be sad and feel pain. But eventually, we need to stop lingering in what was, brush ourselves off, pick up the pieces and charge ahead.

I changed my mind. You may be wondering why, since Vance is not taking up much space in the media. But there is a running narrative that has not sat well with me when it comes to Vance, which is that he would be worse than Trump. Since Vance has been a chameleon over the years, I am a little betwixt on how his reputation could be a more extreme version of what is currently happening, considering his willingness to fade into the background. I get it, his association with Peter Thiel and Elon Musk is disturbing. His quietness mixed with some inappropriate forcefulness, such as when he condemned Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for not wearing a suit, was a stunt at best and uncouth at its worst.

However, before I begin a dive into Vance, I present you with some logistics. With a Rodden Rating of AA (official records verified), JD Vance was born on August 2nd, 1984 at 8:11 AM in Middletown, Ohio, USA. He was born with the name James Donald Bowman. He was adopted by his mother’s third husband and went by the name James Donald Hamel, and then in 2013, his name changed a third time to his mother’s maiden name, James David Vance, thus keeping the moniker of JD.

Vance’s ascendant is in Leo at 27°45’, which makes his Sun not only his chart ruler but also in its domicile. Those with a Leo ascendant tend to have a desire to leave their mark on the world. Exploring his aspects can give us insight into how his planetary placements and chart angles shape who he is.

Vance’s Natal Chart Aspects

Sun in Leo Square Saturn in Scorpio and the Sun Trine Uranus in Sagittarius

The luminary of self expression is hammered with learning what his true responsibilities are compared to what makes him feel gratified. It is a constant battle for him to balance, but with age and progressions, this energy wanes. However, through his life, real or imaginary, Vance may feel like others are blocking his ambitions, and whether he expresses it or not, he has tensions with authority figures.

This aspect in his chart is about learning who he is and what he needs to do to gain confidence. This could tie into his name changes through adoption and his own initiative.

Though his Sun deals with the tension of Saturn, Uranus helps him to explore new activities. He has an ability to put pieces together and perceive how areas of his life are intertwined, leading him to learn more about who he is. With Uranus trine to his Sun, his interest and work with technology is displayed with this aspect. He may also have an interest in science, and there is a possibility that he could explore astrology, due to pattern recognition.

He is not someone who would like routine, especially when it comes to 5th house themes. Freedom and adventure are key for recreation and play.

Moon in Libra Sextile to Venus in Leo

Vance only has one major aspect with his Moon, and it’s a good one to have. His Venus works in a supportive fashion to his Moon, where he truly enjoys being with friends and loved ones. Relationships hold value and reward for him, and he may enjoy entertaining people in his home (though with Venus in Leo, he does relish the attention he gets when he hosts.)

The Moon in Libra craves harmonious communication with its third house placement, and with Venus in the first, he enjoys when others take care of him. There is a tendency to be self-indulgent, whether that is with attention or food, something for him to pay attention to.

Mercury in Virgo Trine Jupiter in Capricorn, Square to Uranus in Sagittarius, and Sextile to Saturn in Scorpio

With his Mercury trine Jupiter, Vance’s studies in law and business align with this aspect. He tends to think of the big picture while making plans for the future. This aspect can sometimes have difficulty with the details, but with the influence of earth and Mercury being in its domicile, he most likely relies on analytical data.

When Venus is conjunct the AC, there is a propensity for finding financial success. As of 2026, his net worth is estimated to be around $12 million, due to his investments, real estate holdings and royalties from his book, Hillbilly Elegy.

When Venus is conjunct the ascendant, there tends to be a natural charm, where the native can attract love and affection through how they express themselves. They tend to be good at entertaining those in their inner circles, making others feel appreciated. Though with the influence of Leo here, they may “hold court” with their admirers, which can play out through the Midheaven.

With Venus square the MC, there is a propensity to be self-involved or to demand more love than what is given to others. This can play out like a “Jerry Maguire” moment, where Vance may feel he needs certain relationships to “complete” him, thus leading to a possibility of possessiveness or jealousy.

With Mars in Scorpio square Venus, Vance most likely has a strong interest in the physicality of intimate relationships and holds it in high regard. However, his ego, especially with Mars being part of a T-square with the MC, can cause issues with his relationships, particularly those of a romantic nature.

Yet, ideally, he does desire a harmonious and easy relationship but may find difficulty balancing his self-assertion. He also, like some with this aspect, may lack some discrimination with sexual partners. This does not mean that he would necessarily stray from a committed relationship, but prior to one, may have had less discernment.

At times, he will have difficulty getting ahead, especially when he is defensive, argumentative or attempting to assert himself. The more peaceful his home life is, the less likely he is to lash out in the public sphere or while handling issues of his career.

This is one area that can cause issues, even though Mars is in its traditional domicile and exaltation. The 4th house placement of Mars can be contentious. If there is conflict at home, his external reactions to situations could feel out of step, such as bravado or anger with no purpose.

Jupiter in Capricorn in an Out of Sign Conjunction with Neptune in Sagittarius, Trine AC and Sextile to Pluto in Libra

When Jupiter is the dispositor of Neptune in the zodiac sign of Sagittarius, there is a tendency to emphasize beliefs more than facts. However, this is an aspect where the native tends to have compassion and an interest in spiritual, religious or broad philosophies.

Vance may develop a false sense of happiness based on following specific ideals, kind of like a “fake it until you make it” mantra. He may not realize the motions he is going through and think everything is fine.

With Neptune in the 5th house, taking risks such as gambling can happen due to the belief that everything will work out, since Jupiter can apply optimism even when the resources are not there.

The setup here with Jupiter sextile Pluto allows for creative changes throughout his life. Vance has redefined himself often, working in law, tech, writing and politics.

Jupiter-Pluto sextiles can help someone gain power over others. However, it is important that if they do so, they focus on helping humanity, otherwise, if done in only self-interest, their efforts could backfire. Vance probably has high ideals and may have a deeper understanding of life. He could go through a spiritual rebirth in his lifetime.

With Jupiter trine the AC, he tends to be naturally optimistic and is often in a good mood. He wants to understand the world through a big-picture spiritual lens and could gain emotional happiness through relationships.

Neptune in Sagittarius and Pluto in Libra at 29 Degrees, Aspects to the AC in Leo

With two of the outer planets at the 29th degree and Vance’s position of power, it is as if he may be closing the chapter on one door and opening the next for society. This does not mean he is a “savior” or a “big baddie,” but for his life, there are opportunities for learning personal lessons and transformative growth, due to a sense of urgency where internally he may feel like he needs to get this life “right.”

Since Neptune is trine his AC, he has the capability to be sensitive to the feelings of others and is aware of the attributes of those around him. However, he can idealize other people and put them on a pedestal, especially if they share the same beliefs as him, such as freedom, justice or taking risks.

Pluto can bring positive changes and opportunities to Vance throughout his life due to the sextile with the AC. This aspect supports him being a leader among his friends and any social group affiliation. Some of his relationships will be both intense and transformative.

His long range goals may, and most likely have, changed a few times throughout his life. The shifting goals and his experiences aid him in living life more abundantly.

North Node in Gemini in the 11th House

Vance’s North Node is at 4°10’ and is in aspect to his Ascendant, Mercury and Uranus. With the North Node square his Mercury, his words, writing and the way he thinks will be scrutinized. With the square to the Ascendant, his communication will be most relevant to those in his close circle.

In opposition to Uranus, there will be times where Vance will speak out of turn, say things that will shock or disrupt others, and his speeches may not land as intended. However, there is a capability for some surprising breakthroughs. His mission is to collect data and be the orator of information.

Ideally, Vance will learn tact, which is something that some with the North Node in Gemini struggle with in youth. Gemini North Nodes are here to see both sides of a situation, as opposed to charging forth with unbridled belief. Ideally, his communication is about lifting up others while addressing dichotomies. He communicates best through non-threatening language. Learning to listen and be open to new ideas and experiences is crucial for the Gemini North Node.

Where he can and will falter is in taking a self-righteous approach or being detached and aloof. Echo chambers are not good for him, nor is judgment.

With the 11th house placement, learning objectivity is key for his growth, especially if he champions humanitarian causes. He is here to understand how each individual person is special, regardless of their associated group. Finding win-win solutions is what can endear him to the populace.

Ideally, he is learning to push away from a need to take charge and gain control, something that his South Node in the 5th house desires. He may entertain actions in order to gain respect from others instead of acting from a place of honesty in order to be accepted.

Fixed Stars Regulus and Antares

Vance has two of the four Royal Stars in his chart, which can be an indicator of power or leadership, especially with Regulus. Though I tend to use tighter conjunctions with fixed stars, I am using the traditional orb of influence for each star listed.

Regulus at 29°26’ Conjunct AC at 27°45’ in Leo (Accepted orb for Regulus is 2°30’)

Vance’s Regulus conjunction is 1°41’, making it within the orb of influence. Regulus is associated with power, prominence and success. Known for having “king-like” qualities, this star has potential for achievement and leadership.

Though this star can be a blessing, it also has a heaviness to it. If the native with this star focuses on vengeance, it can lead to their fall. Essentially, if you retaliate against your opponents or naysayers, what is gained through life can be lost, usually in a dramatic fashion.

The other aspects that the Ascendant makes in his chart will show Vance’s potential. With Venus, Mercury, the North Node, Pluto, Neptune and Jupiter all making aspects to his Ascendant, Vance has the potential to do good with this placement, if he so chooses. The way for him to do so is to be aware of his soul’s mission and align it with the good of others, transforming disharmonious situations.

Now, you may have heard that Trump also has his Ascendant conjunct Regulus, and that is correct. But unlike Vance, who has two beneficial planets making aspects to his Ascendant, Trump has Mars conjunct Regulus. Trump leans into retaliation and revenge, something that will always tarnish his legacy.

Antares at 9°32’ Conjunct Uranus at 9°38’ in Sagittarius (Accepted orb for Antares is 2°40’)

Antares is the star of extremes. Success with this star comes from experience and effort. To make Antares work, the key is to not revel in drama but instead to draw on past knowledge and lived experiences rather than disruption.

Yet, Vance has this star conjunct Uranus, the planet of disruption. Could Vance change course unexpectedly based on honing in on what the populace wants? There is a possibility, but there also are surprises that could come out in either his role or his marriage.

Will Vance Become President and If So, When?

The one thing everyone seems to want to know is when Trump will no longer be president. Instead, I am going to see if there are indicators that Vance could have a shift in his life, where he may gain more power, influence or recognition, while also looking at Trump and his most loyal cabinet member, Stephen Miller. Stepping up into the presidency is never a sure thing, and predictive work is complex.

The reason I am tackling this now is due to Trump’s health, rumors of trips to Walter Reed, the escalation of war with Iran, and popular pundits who now seem to be turning on Trump. Many astrologers, mediums and some medical personnel are weighing in on how long Trump will remain in office.

One astrologer who I hold in high regard does think that Trump will not be president past April. He is using a recurrence transit concept applied to two of Trump’s cabinet members, one being Vance. Though this technique may have validity, I am not 100% convinced that Trump will be out of office by the end of April, but this recurrence transit could be one of the triggers for upcoming change.

Unless death occurs with Trump, a shift in the presidency may take a little longer than some would like to predict. I can tell you this from a non-astrological perspective: recently when I tap into Trump’s energy, my forehead feels as if it is filling up with fluid and there is pressure. I am assuming this is a brain bleed, which does not necessarily mean death.

Intuitively, I see something like the 1993 movie Dave happening, where the president may be ill before any official change in leadership occurs. Since the country has never invoked the 25th Amendment, we have no context on how long a process like this would take. With the divide of public sentiment, if something like this were to happen, it may not be a swift undertaking.

In the movie Dave, in case you have not seen it, two of the president’s cabinet members hid what was going on with the president’s failing health. Miller may choose to contain the situation, labeling Trump’s health as a temporary decline. Miller is in power due to his relationship with Trump. Without Trump, Miller’s influence subsides, since he is someone who works best behind the scenes.

Back in December 2025, I made a Reddit post stating that the eclipses in August would open a window for an exchange of power and that Trump’s authority would wane. With that said, I decided to dive deeper into Vance, Trump and Miller’s astrology to see if what I said prior still holds up, with a focus on what is transpiring with the August eclipses. Below is not a complete rundown of all of their transits and placements, but instead an overview of what I found noteworthy.

JD Vance’s Charts

As Vice President, and based on the US Constitution, it makes sense that if Trump could not fulfill his duties, the role of presidency would fall to Vance. With that said, I decided to look at his Solar Arcs, progressed chart and transits.

Solar Arc (SA) with Natal Bi-Wheel

Vance’s SA Pluto in Sagittarius is trine his natal Sun in Leo at 22 minutes orb on August 12th, the day of the Solar Eclipse in Leo. This is essentially an exact aspect, allowing for a flow of power to him.

The SA Sun in Virgo is trine his natal MC in Taurus in the 10th house. This is a separating aspect by a little over 1 degree, showing that the process of changing roles was already activated and closing around the time of the eclipse. Symbolically, it is as if he is being called to service based on values, with Virgo in the second house, to lead and create comfort, safety and security with Taurus in the 10th house.

August Transits to Natal Chart

Regardless of whether Vance becomes president around this time, the transits are positive for him. Transiting Jupiter and Mercury are conjunct his natal Sun in Leo, and the conjunction with Jupiter is exact August 15-16. Jupiter conjunct the Sun in the first house expands personal presence, and this conjunction is sandwiched between the two eclipses in August.

The solar eclipse, which indicates beginnings and endings, is significant with its conjunction to his natal Venus in Leo within 3 degrees, applying to his Ascendant. It could symbolize a call to harmonious but strong leadership.

The lunar eclipse is an accumulation of energy. During the lunar eclipse on August 27/28, Vance has a T-square from the Sun and Moon to his natal North Node within 1 degree, and Uranus conjunct his natal North Node within 1°27’. If he is in power at this time, I could see him selecting different cabinet members, some of whom could be surprising picks.

Progressed Moon

I took a look at the progressed Moons since they can show the emotional backdrop of events. Just like the natal transits and Solar Arc positions, I evaluated what was happening in August.

In the progressed chart, Vance’s Moon in Aries is in the 7th house, applying a grand trine with his progressed Jupiter in Capricorn in the 4th house and Mercury in Virgo in the 12th house. It seems as if he may be emotionally ready to build foreign and domestic relationships while keeping the country prosperous, but may not disclose everything he is doing to be of service to the country.

With the progressed Aries Moon in opposition to Pluto in Scorpio, he will need to take calculated actions that address root causes. He has both his progressed Ascendant and Venus in Libra, which could bring hope that his goal is to explore peaceful resolutions.

Additional Astrological Observations

Vice Presidents tend to be behind the scenes and their actions are not front and center. They do not co-rule with the president. When you put Trump’s and Vance’s charts in a bi-wheel, Trump’s natal Pluto is conjunct Vance’s natal Sun within 20 minutes. The conjunction is almost exact. Trump would put effort into the suppression of Vance’s popularity, and there is a possibility that the public perception of Vance is skewed by power plays orchestrated by Trump.

However, as mentioned earlier, in Vance’s Solar Arc chart, Vance’s Sun absorbs its own power from Solar Arc Pluto, as opposed to being overshadowed by Trump’s influence.

Vance, at the moment, appears to understand internally the power of Regulus in his chart. Regulus acts best when others call for leadership, as opposed to forcing power through vengeance or warring actions. If for some reason Trump were to step down or be removed from power, it would be best for Vance to remain on the sidelines until the transition of power.

Waiting to be called can also be seen with the North Node in Gemini in the 11th house, meaning that Congress may be the entity that declares Vance the president.

The July 3rd transiting Mars-Uranus conjunction will be in Vance’s 10th house, activating his North Node. With Uranus, anything can happen, and it seems as if his path forward is activated at this time.

Donald Trump’s Charts

Does anyone even need to look at astrological charts with Trump? He is 79, in poor health and has taken three cognitive tests that are only administered when there is suspicion of decline. I must remind everyone that I am not a medical doctor and what I surmise below is based on observation and is in no way a diagnosis.

Current Transits

On April 19th, Neptune, Mercury, Mars and Saturn are in square to Trump’s natal Mercury. His mental acuity may make headlines, even among his supporters. His head and brain are vulnerable with this transit. As Mars transits through the sign of Aries, signs of his cognitive decline may become more pronounced.

The solar eclipse on August 12th is conjunct Trump’s natal Mars and square his natal MC. This is a tense period for Trump and a possible activation of the end of his career.

Progressed Moon

Trump’s progressed Moon in Scorpio is square his progressed Mercury in Leo, and this square is sustained from April through August. The progressed Moon maintains its square with progressed Mercury as it enters the sign of Sagittarius on July 23rd. This supports the likelihood of cognitive deterioration and emotions overtaking his thought process.

Solar Arc Directions

Trump’s SA MC is conjunct his natal Pluto within 1 degree. Due to Trump’s age and position, this can represent a transformation of his public role. With the SA MC square SA Mars, both his own actions and external forces may be shifting his public perception. He most likely will continue to lose favor except among his most ardent supporters.

Additional Chart Observations

Regulus is conjunct Trump’s AC and Mars, bringing forth the destructive qualities of this fixed Royal Star. Trump’s legacy will be known for his vengeance and retribution. Regulus promises a fall from grace when the focus is to destroy instead of build something of value.

Stephen Miller’s Charts

Even though this article is about JD Vance, I feel the need to bring Stephen Miller into the picture. He is the only person to have served under Trump in both terms, and much of Trump’s rhetoric and policies come from Miller. Trump values two things, unbridled loyalty and his own legacy. Miller offers loyalty, thus supporting that legacy.

What Miller gets in return is to run the show from behind the scenes. Generally regarded as not the most likable person, he has the ear of the most powerful person in the country.

Miller’s Chart

Miller was born on August 23rd, 1985 at 4:53 PM in Santa Monica, CA, USA. For brevity and to stay true to the subject matter, I am purposely discussing just a small portion of his chart.

He has natal Pluto conjunct his MC in Scorpio in the 11th house, sextile his Sun in Virgo in the 9th house. Like Trump and Vance, he also has Regulus in his chart, in an out of sign conjunction with his Virgo Sun.

This is someone who does best behind the scenes and is highly strategic. With the Pluto-MC conjunction, it is crucial for him to be appropriate when achieving his goals. Cheating, lying or conniving will eventually backfire on him and lead to failure. This conjunction can also represent a change in direction that is outside of one’s control, such as losing a job or position of power.

Though the Sun supports the Pluto-MC conjunction, it is conjunct Regulus. Though ambitions can be fulfilled, if done so unscrupulously, everything can come crashing down, especially if actions are taken out of hurt and anger. With Regulus in the 8th house, vengeance is done out of view, but eventually, due to the Sun, will come to light, thus facilitating a fall.

On the August 12th solar eclipse, the transiting Sun and Moon will conjunct Miller’s Mars in the 8th house and square his natal Saturn. He most likely will lose his position due to his relationship with Trump and the views that the two of them share. The South Node transiting the 8th house ties to his past actions as a reason for his removal. Essentially, his peak of power has hit a wall.

Progressed Moon

For the past year, Miller’s progressed Moon has been in opposition to Saturn, acting as a somber authority. His progressed Moon was in the sign of Taurus and Saturn is in the sign of Scorpio. The Taurus-Scorpio polarity is about possessions and possessiveness. The actions of ICE and the push toward war stem from his emotional isolation and what he feels is “owed.”

Could Events Play Out Differently?

My assessment is based on both astrology and observation. I do not know these three men or their interactions with each other except for what has been reported, which is not the whole story by any means.

I also looked at Zodiacal Releasing for all three of them, not something I usually do nor a technique I am particularly comfortable with. However, Vance shows an increase in visibility whereas Trump does not.

Eclipses bring change, and the two eclipses in August are powerful and impactful. What happens in August is inevitable, even if for some reason there is not a passing of the baton.

The Libra Ingress chart on September 22nd at 8:06 PM in Washington, DC has the MC in Capricorn in the 10th house. This is a much quieter administration than what we are experiencing now. Mercury is in the 7th house in the sign of Libra. It is as if the United States is offering an olive branch, not something that the current administration would do.

But back to the question, could things play out differently? Maybe, but it would have similar themes to what I have described. The energy is there, but free will does exist. However, if Vance keeps himself at arm’s length and does not get caught up on the wrong side of Regulus, he could be president soon, most likely by the end of this year.

One last thing I want to circle back to is Nick Dagan’s prediction that Trump will no longer be president by the end of April, based on his recurrence transits. During a client reading yesterday, and without giving detail, I did see a circumstance that involved a recurrence transit. The client had a reading with me previously where I predicted something would happen based on regular transits to the birth chart. However, the recurrence transit was not in their chart, but in the chart of the other person involved in the situation, thus making Dagan’s prediction more relevant.

Dagan was looking at both RFK and Vance’s charts, but if I look only at Vance, I could see something happening around May 9th. On this day, Mars is in a tight applying square to Trump’s natal Saturn. This square exposes internal inadequacy, expressed through anger. Any assertion or force can be blocked, especially when it comes to rash behavior. Attempts to cover up whatever was done tend to fail. With that said, April through May could be the turning point of Trump’s downfall, and though in my opinion any transfer of power happens in August, it would be difficult from this point forward for Trump to hold onto power.

At the moment, it is hard for me to fathom what RFK would have to do with Trump’s demise, nor am I stating that he is a culprit in any fashion. His role may be more symbolic. With Melania Trump’s recent press conference urging Congress to let the victims of Epstein testify, just about anything can come out into the public sphere after Uranus enters the sign of Gemini. If I were to take RFK’s chart into consideration, the recurrence transit happens between April 29th and 30th, which would solidify Dagan’s prediction. With RFK’s role as Secretary of Health and Human Services, it could be that we learn of Trump’s true health status through a leak of his medical records, thus setting the course for what I see ahead.

Like Newsom, Vance’s appeal is controversial, and we may question whether we are seeing his true persona. Unlike Newsom, Vance has an imminent possibility of filling the role of United States President if something were to happen before the 2028 election. The next several months will be interesting to watch as this saga unfolds.

Take my sister and me as a perfect example. She has her Mercury in Pisces. She can talk for ten minutes, listing seemingly unrelated pieces of information before I finally interrupt and ask what she is actually talking about. With Saturn, Neptune and the Sun in Aries, there is an emphasis on recalibration. Some of us may be rediscovering who we are, finding our sense of purpose and learning to be our own savior. These are activities that need to happen, but this Full Moon reminds us of the importance of our relationships. Life is a balancing act, and the Moon in Libra teaches us that we can be diplomatic without losing our autonomy.

With the Sun in opposition to the Moon at 12 degrees and 21 minutes, we could explore the polarity of myself versus them, subjective versus objective, and conscious intention versus unconscious impulses. But I encourage you to instead of being pulled in two directions, to learn how to incorporate both. For instance, with you and others, be conscientious of making time for your own pursuits while also scheduling activities that are done jointly with the special people in your life. Talk about your day but also ask questions and truly listen to what others in your life are experiencing.

The sign of Libra is symbolized with scales. Though it is rare to have them completely in balance, the objective is to attempt equilibrium. One of the ways of doing so, is to hone in on your responsibilities without taking ownership of duties that are someone else’s. It is about having boundaries, not just your own, but not treading upon your loved ones life. For instance, are you acting as a parent to an adult partner or friend, or are standing equally by their side?

During the Full Moon, Jupiter is in a separating T-Square to the Sun and Moon. I find understanding boundaries befitting, since Jupiter tends to have us go to extremes. We may be overworked or overwhelmed, especially if we are taking on responsibilities that are more imagined than real. It is good to be generous with your time and resources, but the key here is to learn the line where it becomes living someone else’s life instead of living your own.

Now I want to stress, some relationships may require you to do one task that benefits both parties while they do another task. Not everything will be split 50/50 due to skill, availability, and fortitude. But ideally, this Full Moon will illuminate areas where you are overdoing one thing and not taking responsibility for something else. Let’s say your partner does the finances, this doesn’t mean you put your head in the sand. They may be an expert at excel, or investing, but ideally, you should know the balances in the accounts and how money is being spent.

In regards to other transits on the day of the Libra Full Moon, we have Mercury in Trine to Jupiter, which beckons us to think from a broader point of view, and tap into subjects like foreign affairs, law and philosophy while having Piscean compassion. Mercury is in conjunction with the dwarf planet of Vesta. Our safety and security is top of mind. Vesta can be clannish, where the Full Moon is asking you to also think about the well-being of others outside of your own locality.

Saturn in Aries is in a tight sextile with Pluto in Aquarius. Taking responsibility for ourselves is supported by the transformative power of Pluto. When we narrow down what we need to do, as opposed to taking on everything, then we can be more productive and have greater impact. This sextile helps us to determine what action we can take to serve humanity, which can be anything from showing up to a protest, calling your representatives or providing comfort. But not every act is obvious, nor should it be, like purposefully researching corporations and where they contribute money, and basing your buying habits off of that.

During the Full Moon, you may find your energy being a bit restless with Mars in Pisces in sextile to Uranus in Taurus. It may feel like you are on pins and needles, but the takeaway here is to be open to insight and a fresh perspective. Making new friends is advantageous right now, again, reemphasizing the importance of relationships. Take a book and go to a coffee shop, volunteer for an organization or find a local game night and participate in trivia, board or card games. (By the way, some local bookstores have events where you have the opportunity to meet others.)

With all of this discussion on relationships, what is Venus doing in this mix? Venus is currently in the sign of Taurus, its domicile. It is conjunct to Ceres, the dwarf planet of physical nurturance, fertility and gardening. With the increase of food prices and spring season, this is a good time to plan a garden. Nurturing plants helps us to nurture ourselves and others, thus solidifying the theme of taking care of our needs while supporting and showing up for our relationships.

The New Moon happens in a couple of weeks, giving us an opportunity to plant seeds. If you live above ground in an apartment or condo, you can still grow food, such as mushrooms or sprouts. If you have a balcony, potatoes are easy to grow in a grow bag.

Many local places have community gardens. If this is something that interests you (I am looking at those with lots of Earth sign placements,) joining these gardens can be a great way to create connections with others while also helping your local community.

The dynamics of the Libra Full Moon, along with the other placements, can be seen as a point of regulation as we move through the month of April. We can’t do life alone, but we also can’t expect others to take the lead. The lesson here is to be your authentic self without neglecting your relationships, understanding and honoring boundaries while also expanding your support system. With that said, I am going to leave you with this quote by poet and clergyman John Donne in 1624:

Before we get into the details, I want to share some dates that you may want to mark on your calendar.

The story this month is Mars, which in a personal realm, initiates us to have motivation, drive and take action. Like I’ve said many times in the past, the whole world can be on fire (both figuratively and literally) but personally, things can be going your own way. Though this article is a high-level overview of personal energy, I do need to address the volatility of this month on the world stage, since it is on top of everyone’s mind.

Aries energy is ruled by Mars, and eventually, we will have a pile up of Aries energy with both luminaries, several planets and Chiron. Throughout the month, Mars makes a series of significant aspects to other planets. Mars will also be in its domicile throughout most of the month, enhancing Mars’ energy.

These are some of the dates with the strongest aspects, however, please be aware when it comes to geopolitics and military conflicts, April is a tense and combustible month. I am leading off with the world dates prior to the personal week by week breakdown so that you can understand how the same energy can play out in two completely different ways.

World Key Dates

Though I am listing dates, keep in mind that the aspects are in an applying position for a handful of days beforehand and afterwards are in a separating aspect. The exact degree does not mean that something related to the aspect happens at the exact moment. Also, since Mars is making these aspects in succession, some of the events could occur simultaneously, or overlap and instead of appearing as separate events, it most likely will play out as one continuous story.

April 8th - Mars in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus are sextile at 29 degrees and 6 minutes. Swift military excursions could happen on this day, with the possibility of attacks on oil fields or tankers.

April 13th - Mars and Neptune are conjunct in the sign of Aries at 2 degrees and 39 minutes. This is a day when there may be losses, be that with people who are fighting, financial downturns or issues with oil or activities at sea, such as with countries’ naval forces. Usually with Neptune there are setbacks due to poor planning and idealism.

April 15th - Mars and the Moon are conjunct in the sign of Aries at 4 degrees and 44 minutes. This conjunction happens every month and is quick and brief. Emotions tend to be high with this conjunction, and with the Moon, public sentiment may be hostile, either to the government, a foreign government and/or with each other. I am calling this out not as an event per se, but emotional pleas and stances will be visible on this day.

April 16th - Mars in Aries and Pluto in Aquarius are sextile at 5 degrees and 25 minutes. This could be a day of plans being changed by a nation, a transformation of approach or a pushback from another force. There could be terrorist attacks or some sort of industrial dispute. High likelihood of some party setting a fire around this day, though it could be a figurative fire, there is a possibility of an actual fire. Also, actions of crime, especially that in an organized fashion may come to light on this day.

April 19th - Mars and Saturn in the sign of Aries are in a conjunction at 7 degrees and 51 minutes. There could be a display of public sorrow due to conflict and war-type actions. Keep in mind, I am not stating which country will experience loss. The public sorrow could also be tied to an authority figure or someone older. There could also be issues tied to farming or land, either seizure of it or destruction (this does not mean necessarily militarily, even though Mars is involved. There is a likelihood that some resources are not available due to conflict.)

The public could be asking questions of their leaders on this day, as the tone of this time period is somber and serious.

April 20th - Mars and Mercury are conjunct in Aries at 8 degrees and 36 minutes. News with forceful language could come out around this day, with a sense of posturing or defensiveness. Claims of strength, independence and military success may happen. In the US, there could be verbal attacks on the entertainment industry or celebrities around this time as well.

April 24th through May 4th - Mars in Aries applies a square to Jupiter in Cancer. Though this aspect is not exact until May, it is worth calling out. At the end of the month, belief takes center stage. Whatever conflicts are going on in the world will be framed in regards to religious or national belief rather than logistics. This is a propaganda tactic used often in times of war, to gain public sentiment and support.

Overarching Energy By Week

The following weekly overviews are not based on world events but instead personal lives. Keep in mind, your life may play out quite differently, since the energy described below is what is happening in the sky, not what is happening to your chart. You could feel energized on tense days or melancholy on days that are filled with electricity. Your placements matter, so keep this in mind and think of it more as the vibe around you than your own personal chart.

April 1st - April 4th

We start the month with a Full Moon in the sign of Libra. With the moon square to Jupiter, you could be emotionally exhausted, especially if you are empathic and are not doing any grounding and protection techniques. The T-square involves the Sun in Aries, with Jupiter at its apex. Though there is a sense of being overwhelmed and burned out by what is happening in the world, with Jupiter in Cancer, you may feel during this Full Moon that you can see what is ahead.

Though we think of Full Moons as an ending point, they tend to be more of the point of being able to sense what is coming to fruition. Family, home, security and safety come to the forefront. With the Sun in a separating conjunction to Saturn, this Full Moon illuminates what responsibilities you took on, that weren’t your duties to begin with. This can be an empowering Full Moon, where you learn what boundaries were blurred, what you own and what future actions to take. It is not an isolating vibe, but more of how you can push forward without neglecting your relationships.

Mercury is in the post-shadow phase of the retrograde, which will continue until the 10th of the month. In March, we were wondering how we got to where we were, looking back on past events. With the direct motion of Mercury, expect lots of information, and in the sign of Pisces and trine to Jupiter in Cancer, expect big exaggerations. Communication may happen in defense of actions taken, as Mercury applies its conjunction to Mars. I would love to tell you that the first week of the month we would have clear communication, but with Mercury in its detriment, that will not be the case.

In fact, plans may change and communication surrounding who does what can easily be forgotten. For instance, let’s say you had a conversation with someone about meeting them at a restaurant. You both threw out several ideas of places to go to, but the next day, one of you couldn’t remember what you had agreed to. With that said, expect to have to repeat yourself and you may want to put confirmations into writing, just so you and the other party have a reference point.

Venus is in one of its domicile signs for the first three weeks of the month. Venus in Taurus is comfortable, however, it starts off in a square with Pluto. This aspect can have us hanging onto the past with intense, profound emotions. If you have an ex that you haven’t been able to shake out of your psyche, you may feel drawn to contacting them, especially if your own Venus is in the first 10 degrees of a fixed sign - Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius. If you’ve already closed the box, then I would advise not to do it. But if that Pandora’s box is still open, and the chaos is still present, you may want to give it one last ditch effort. Will the relationship last? Probably not. But maybe that is what it takes to move forward, though I do recommend proceeding with caution.

The good news is that the itch to reach out is over by the 7th of the month, when the square between Venus and Pluto dissipates.

Mars starts its applying sextile on the 1st to Uranus, which can make us restless and impatient with our daily routines. At times, this energy plays out with impulsivity and unpredictability. However, the benefits are the ability to see the world through a new lens, and gain fresh perspective.

This electric energy can be great for seeking new friends and experiences. It could be a good time to go out and try something you’ve always wanted to do or be open to someone’s suggestion, such as visiting a new local hangout. However, be aware that this energy is unpredictable, and with Mars, there is a chance of getting into an altercation if you are not patient with restrictions or boundaries.

These first four days can feel like a boost, just stay grounded and don’t take what is said as gold or believe every video you see is the actual truth. You may want to do an internet search for fun things to do in your town and pick one. However, if you go somewhere and pick up unpleasant vibes, be flexible and leave. There are always other things to see and do.

April 5th - April 11th

As Mars progresses through the final degrees of Pisces, applying an out of sign conjunction to Neptune, the two planets are also in a Modern mutual reception. Each planet is a dispositor of the other, Pisces’ modern ruler is Neptune and Aries’ ruler is Mars. Both of these planets are feeding each other, and have been since Mars entered Pisces back on March 2nd.

Neptune gives an illusionary factor to Mars, and during these last degrees, we could think that we can take on things that are beyond our physical strength or downplay the fortitude of others. An example of this could be going to the gym and instead of moving the notch one step up, feeling emboldened and doing two or three notches on the weight machine, causing injury or strain. But here is the catch, you most likely took this risk because you felt weak and uncomfortable, thus pushing yourself to a limit that made no sense.

However, this is great energy for helping others and doing charitable work. Neptune is best when exploring themes of spirituality or working for the better good of a situation. Whether you volunteer or take a yoga class, activities like these can help you handle feelings of inferiority and utilize Mars energy for something worthwhile.

As Mars in Pisces applies a sextile to Uranus in Taurus, you may feel restless and a desire to do something new and excitement creeps into your daily rhythm. You can be quite impatient with routine, or interruptions with any task that slows down your pace. That said, the best way to use this energy, which peaks on the 8th when the sextile is exact, is to keep an open mind and explore other perspectives. Uranus can give insight to why certain actions take place, and you may have an intuition flash of knowledge as you go about your day.

This could be great timing as Mars ingresses into its home sign on the 9th. Mars in Aries is impulsive, quick and fast. The last thing Mars is in Aries is patient. I recommend taking extra care while driving when Mars is in Aries, especially if you are an Aquarius rising. You may feel confident from an analytical perspective, but with Mars in your third house, small accidents can happen, so lay down that phone and pay attention. Defensive driving is key.

I tend to think of Mars in Aries as a red Ferrari, speeding down the highway with no purpose except for adrenaline. Being aware of your environment and the actions of others is best while Mars is in Aries, regardless of your rising sign. Mars will be in the sign of Aries through the 18th of May.

Mars does help us get things done. With the surge of energy, you most likely will accomplish a lot over the next six weeks, with no planets in retrograde until Pluto does so on May 8th. This is a great time to tackle all of the projects you’ve been wanting to do. You may find yourself burning the candle at both ends, waking up early to take on your day, working late at the office or with household chores and moving more than you have done in the past few months.

April 12th - April 18th

Finally, Mercury leaves Pisces and enters into the sign of Aries this week. Between the retrograde and Mercury being in its detriment while in Pisces, the movement into Aries will feel like a relief when we wake up on the 15th.

When Mercury is in Pisces it is hard to make decisions. While in Aries, decisions come quickly. Mercury in Aries processes information fast and likes to get to the point, quite opposite of the past couple of months. The main thing to watch for is making assumptions. With Mercury in Aries we can get bored easily or think we have all of the information before we actually do, thus we can take initiative or jump to conclusions out of haste instead of gathering and examining all of the facts.

Also, when Mercury is in Aries, there is a greater likelihood of being interrupted when you are speaking, or you find yourself interrupting others. This can cause tension in discourse, however, if you can slow down and process first, be aware of the current situation, a lot of brainstorming and solutions can come forth during discussions.

With both Mercury and Mars in the sign of Aries, and Mercury applying its conjunction, both your mind and body are engaged in tackling tasks and completing projects. However, stationed between these two planets is Neptune, so there is a chance of not seeing things completely how they are, taking on an idealized approach to situations or being passive-aggressive when it comes to conflict. It is better to be direct and firm with compassion than to be wishy-washy and use tactics of guilt or manipulation.

We will have a very powerful new moon on the morning of the 17th. If you can, take a few moments when you wake to do some breath work and meditation. This is a great moon for manifesting and getting out of any ruts. Neptune is still wearing away authoritative and limiting programming, and allows you to tap into your hopes and dreams. It’s as if those inner voices have a face to them, and you have an opportunity to realize that some of those imposed limits came from other people’s fears.

With the new moon conjunct to Chiron, this is an opportunity for healing and letting go of the past. In the sign of Aries, the focus is on you, not everyone else. The irony is that when we create our own lives based on our mission and purpose, our relationships tend to be stronger. Just like a seesaw, when we put too much energy on one thing, life becomes unbalanced. We’ve spent a long time in Pisces energy, now it is time to get back to the self.

During the New Moon, Venus begins its applying conjunction to Uranus. There is a good chance that we can gain personal insight through our relationships, especially when we surround ourselves with interesting people who have fresh and exciting ideas. This is an opportune time for creativity, especially when we apply this energy to ourselves. I do want to add, keep your eyes on your finances from this point forward. There can be lots of financial swings over the next couple of weeks.

April 19th - April 25th

There is a serious tone this week, and for many, it would be best to work alone as much as you can. With Mercury, Mars and Saturn in conjunction, the best use of this energy is to roll up your sleeves, put on some light music and get to work. This is the kind of energy that aids in completing projects, prioritizing important tasks and tuning out distractions. This sounds great, and it is, unless…

You decide to debate everyone, butt heads with superiors and insist on working in a group. It’s quite easy to focus on the negative traits of others, and little things can become quite irritating. Our viewpoints can easily become narrow as we nit-pick details. There is a chance you may not express your anger, but feelings of contempt can come out in subtle ways.

If you have the opportunity to work from home this week, you may want to do so. The good news is that you will be productive. However, it is not the best week for easy going office dynamics. This doesn’t mean that you or others can’t be team players, but it is probably best to have brief meetings then go your own way, get the work done and reconvene later.

On April 23rd, Venus and Uranus make their exact conjunction. Venus focuses on relationships, appearances, art and money. Keep this in mind when it comes to Uranus, since it brings sudden changes. There can be shifts in your closest relationships, an urge to engage in a new relationship or a deeper sense of belonging with a loved one. Sounds unpredictable? That’s because it is. Uranus is a lightning bolt; it sends electricity into a situation and can bring about anything from sudden change, progress, division or liberation.

As recommended last week, income can go to extremes. You could find yourself receiving a windfall or taking a huge hit to your finances. This does not mean everyone will have the same impact, it will depend on your chart. However, cardinal rising signs may be impacted the most, especially Libra and Aries rising, with Cancer and Capricorn also seeing shifts. Keep an eye on your investments and bank accounts. But also be open to opportunities. Uranus sometimes brings pleasant surprises, like a raise or bonus.

This week has welcoming energy for creative pursuits, especially with something earthy, like woodworking or pottery.

Shortly after the exact Venus-Uranus conjunction, Venus enters the sign of Gemini. Venus shifts from comfort to being exploratory, inquisitive and social. Venus in Gemini has a flirtatious nature, even when the native is not purposely being flirty. The shift in energy could get you off of the couch and going to a social event over the weekend, a relief from the serious tone of the past week.

Two days later, Uranus enters the zodiac sign of Gemini and will remain there for 7 years. Expect many changes in the house where Gemini energy resides. Understand, the changes don’t happen all at once, and tend to happen as Uranus aspects areas of your chart. Regarding life in general, we are sure to see innovations in communication, and a sense of restlessness when dealing with the world around us.

There is a sense of trepidation with Uranus in Gemini, especially for the United States, due to the history of war. However, this can be a time of sharp and quick wit, with dark observational comedies pointing out the absurdities of current events.

April 26th - April 30th

Mars in Aries is two days into an applying square to Jupiter in Cancer. Though this square can exaggerate conflict between nations, when it comes to personal charts, the energy brings opportunities and projects. It is like these two dignified planets are giving you a push towards the Full Moon that happens on the 1st of May. What you work on this week can bring future growth, be it in personal understanding, your reputation, income or some other area of your life.

Mercury and Jupiter make an exact square on the 26th. You may be optimistic with your thoughts and communication, however, as you complete projects, make sure to give your work a close scan. The Mercury-Jupiter square can overlook important details, and it may be hard to catch typos or errors.

The energy is there for unusual or unique artistic work. With Venus applying a trine to Pluto in Aquarius, you may use technology to create something that is aesthetically pleasing but also has a purpose. On the 28th, the trine is exact. You could interject the week by signing up for an art event, or visiting a creator’s space.

When it comes to your personal relationships, you may feel love intensely, with your heart, body and soul. If you meet someone during this week, you could have an immediate, visceral reaction to them, that could lead to insight on what you value when it comes to relationships.

My Thoughts on April

Conflict in the world is not going to end this month, even if agreements are made between some countries. This is not a time of peace, but instead a time of national self-assertion. Strength, real or imagined, takes precedence.

However, when it comes to our personal lives, April is a month to actually move forward. Though the world has been changing around you for a while, April is the swift kick that says, get yourself up, brush off the sense of helplessness and live your life. It’s time to take action and to stop with the external obstacles, thinking you are “too” something or “not enough.” April gives us permission to stop sitting on our hands and to stand up and take charge of our lives.

To cast the United States Aries Ingress Chart for yourself, use the date March 20th, 2026 at 10:46 AM with Washington DC, United States as your location. Keep in mind that sometimes, it takes awhile to truly appreciate an Ingress Chart. Knowledge of what is happening in a particular country aids in deciphering the chart.

Ingress Charts are cast when the sun enters a Cardinal sign: Aries at the spring equinox, Cancer at the summer solstice, Libra at the Autumn Equinox and Capricorn at the winter solstice. These charts mark the beginning of the season, but they also allow us to examine the overarching energy of a country.

To cast an ingress chart for a country, you would use the capital city and set the time to the exact moment that the sun enters a cardinal sign. Some software makes it easy to do, and they could have an easy way to cast a cycle, or do an ephemeris search and generate the chart from there. Since I use Luna, I go to the cycles tab, then select the solar year and select the cardinal sign chart that I am looking to cast.

If the ascendant in the cast chart is in a Cardinal Sign, the energy would last for 3 months. If the ascendant is in a Mutable Sign, the energy would last for 6 months. And if the ascendant is in a Fixed Sign, that energy lasts for about a year. The 2025 Aries Ingress chart for the United States had an Aquarius rising sign, a fixed sign, meaning its influence lasted a year. For 2026, the Aries Ingress chart for the United States has Gemini rising, a mutable sign, so the energy will last for around six months.

This is important to know, even if you decide to cast a chart for all four seasons. Let’s say you decide to create a chart of the Cancer Ingress for the United States, which is the midpoint of the Aries Ingress duration. In that case, both charts can give you clues of what could happen during the summer months. Understanding the length of influence of each Ingress chart is important. Some astrologers will only cast based on that length, while others, like me, find value in casting all of the ingress charts.

Let’s take a look at the United States Aries Ingress Chart. In my opinion, even weeks before its activation, we were already seeing some of this energy playing out.

As you can see, most of the activity in this chart is above the horizon, taking place in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th houses. The United States and its activities take center stage. Keep in mind, other nations whose capital cities share the same longitude as Washington, DC will have similar charts, such as Cuba and Venezuela. This does not mean the United States will claim ownership or initiate conflict with these nations, but given the themes in this chart, they are worth keeping an eye on over the next six months. If you were to cast charts for those nations, it would take understanding their government structures, leadership, current economic status and national public sentiment to gain a full reading.

The 1st House and the Ascendant in Gemini

This is the house of those who inhabit the United States, as well as the condition of the country. The energy here is restless, diversified and scattered due to the Gemini ascendant. Communication takes center stage and due to the emphasis of this mutable sign, you could hear varying points of view. Minds may rapidly change. Since this house is ruled by Mercury, we need to look at what is happening where Mercury resides within this chart.

In addition, the Ascendant is in a tight square to Mars in the 10th house. Communication will focus on the strength of the United States and its leadership, though whether that strength is real or illusionary will be in flux.

The 10th House in Pisces

Mercury is in retrograde in the sign of Pisces and located in the 10th house. Mercury does not do well in the sign of Pisces, due to being in its fall. Though Mercury is stationing direct on the same day, this state of ambiguity will be carried out over the next six months, and its stationing effects will make us feel like the current administration is stuck in a land of confusion.

The executive team could give long and winding scenarios and stories without answering any substantial questions. Expect communication to be blurred and fuzzy and filled with back-tracking or purposeful deception. Keep in mind, this is not just about the president, but also his cabinet and other leaders in his administration. Getting clear, concise information will be difficult at best and impossible at its worst.

Mercury is conjunct to the North Node. When historians look back to this time period, they could surmise that the activity of the executive branch seemed fated. When I say this, I am not talking about karma per se, but how the administration handles and disseminates information takes on a tone that is expected by prior events. For instance, Project 2025 discusses exerting extreme pressure and a regime change for Iran. With this chart, we will see a continuation of what was laid out prior as the nation’s story continues.

Mars is also in the 10th house. In mundane astrology, Mars is about war, conflict and strikes. Pisces is associated with oil, and Iran is an oil-rich country. Mars is also associated with arsenals, the actual military equipment and firepower.

Mars in Pisces is strange. Activity with Mars could be labeled as self-sacrificing, secretive and illusionary. Justification for any wars or conflicts that the United States engages in most likely won’t make any sense. Questioning authority can have the administration playing the role of the victim as they victimize others.

There also could be an illusionary factor to the United States’ actual artillery, both in quantity and effectiveness. Due to excessive military arms spending over decades, the United States most likely has a surplus of ammunition. However, has their arsenal kept up with modern technology? That will be hard to say.

Supply and demand of arms is part of the United States 10th house story. Like the overabundance of cheese in the cheese caves, does having a surplus decrease the demand for arms by other nations? And if so, will this government continue to conduct strikes to increase sales of artillery and equipment?

There is a good chance in the fall that the US may realize that the might of the Armed Forces is not as strong as its reputation, either due to new technology or a lack of support from its citizens.

The 11th House in Aries

Most of the activity is in the 11th house of the Aries Ingress Chart. Here we find the Sun, Neptune, Saturn, Venus, the Moon and Chiron. The 11th house is the Legislative branch of the government. Think Congress, local councils and the passage of laws. It is also where you would find the United States’ allies.

This configuration is a mess for the United States. With the Sun in the 11th house, there will be a focus on Congress, and with the Sun in this house, expect meddling from the administration and other powerful figures. The Sun in Aries dispositing Mars in the 10th house means there will be battles within Congress, however some of these skirmishes may be blurred or behind the scenes. At times, Congress will take its lead from the administration, but the Sun here could have some members step into their power and push back.

Saturn represents elderly people as well as disappointment. The United States has the third oldest Congress in history, the two oldest being the ones immediately previous to this one. Since the Moon, which represents public sentiment, is also in the 11th house, due to the average age of the congresspeople, the populace does not feel like Congress represents their interest. The disconnect between representation and the people continues.

With both Saturn and Neptune in the 11th house, Congress may make attempts to reel in the administration, most likely around spending bills, since Venus is also in the 11th house. But with Neptune conjunct Saturn, Congress’s own authority has been eroded. Any attempts Congress makes to enact laws will be an arduous task.

However, Congress has some support from the Judicial System, due to Saturn’s sextile to Pluto in the 9th house. Even though Pluto is in Aquarius, this may not be in the public’s best interest, which I will go into in a moment.

Venus in the 11th house directly relates to bills that impact women, such as the SAVE Act, which requires some women additional documentation to register to vote, due to changes in their name through marriage. This bill will also have an impact on minorities and some men, primarily due to name changes or lack of a birth certificate or passport. However, Venus in the 11th house does help with diplomatic resolutions, and there could be some bipartisanship due to its presence.

The Moon in the 11th house, along with the Sun, gives attention to Congress and local municipalities. Average Americans will focus on the activities of the Legislative branch, demanding action. There could be protests or outcries over specific decisions or congresspeople over the next six months. Public sentiment will be mixed.

Circling back to Saturn, there is a chance of special elections due to the death of some legislators. I am not predicting who, but with 24 of them being over the age of 80, this is not a stretch. 13 of them are running for reelection, so there is a chance that the death is of their career, but in my opinion the likelihood of 1 or 2 of them passing away is high. Please know this is speculation, based on Saturn being in the 11th house.

The 9th House in Aquarius

As mentioned earlier, with Pluto in the 9th house, the Judiciary could align with Congress’s spending and funding of military action without a declaration of war. I know many people state that the current administration’s actions are a violation of law. Due to the erosion of Congressional power over several decades, conflicts abroad enter gray territory. It is correct that only Congress can declare war, but due to the 1973 War Powers Resolution Act, any president can deploy armed forces for 60 to 90 days. They do need to cite that they are responding to threats, perceived or otherwise, or that they are protecting national security.

Congress can also extend military action taken by the administration, and the United States has a long precedent of doing so, such as with Korea, Vietnam, Kosovo and Afghanistan. I know there are many pundits stating that what is happening is illegal, but when it comes to military action, the United States does not have clear and distinct official boundaries as we would think. What makes matters more blurred is that the president is also the commander-in-chief of the military.

Thus, I do not expect any Judicial intervention in regards to military actions by the United States unless both Congress and the Supreme Court unilaterally make a decision. I seriously doubt that would be the case.

The reason I don’t see the Judicial branch stepping in is due to Pluto. Pluto does denote impactful change, but it works through metamorphosis, not necessarily regression to the past, especially with its forward direction.

What is changing is foreign policy, the legal system as a whole and national ideology. Supporting this change is the Midheaven in the 9th house, which reinforces Aquarian themes of systemic change, technology and disruption.

In regards to disruption, we are already seeing this at play. 9th house themes include shipping and sea traffic, long distance travel and international communications. With Pisces at the top of the chart, the visible issue is oil. The tension between nations has to do with established institutions and differences in national philosophies. There is more going on that we don’t see, a concerted effort to conceal, which shows up in the 12th house.

Before I move on, I want to note some other themes of Pluto in an ingress chart, which includes what is dark and hidden from public view. With Pluto we can find the political underground, and in the sign of Aquarius, it is a non-conforming, detached network lacking humanitarian connection. This is the energy of espionage and organized crime, along with great wealth and power. We can also find cover-ups around violence and exploitation. However, eventually, everything that is hidden will come to light. Most likely what is obscured won’t be revealed during this Aries Ingress cycle, unless the 12th house implodes upon itself, which is possible with Uranus located there.

Essentially, what we see is only a small part of the story, and we could eventually find out that there have been deeper, collaborative efforts to protect powerful people and keep the network intact.

The 12th House in Taurus

What we are experiencing in the 12th house is hidden disruption, covert agendas and maneuverings out of the public eye. With the zodiac sign of Taurus here, some of these operations will be about land, resources, material wealth and oil. Due to Uranus in Taurus in the 12th, the real agenda around land and resources is not being openly stated. The agenda is not completely obvious, and what is presented publicly is not the full picture. The purpose here is to obscure and catch others off guard, hoping to destabilize whichever peoples or countries are part of the plan.

The plan most likely has to do with fascism or other right-leaning political ideals that involve a “free” market. The covert operations are to benefit those in power. It is as if the country is playing the game of Risk while inebriated.

Uranus is also associated with scientific breakthroughs. Ten years ago, we may have assumed, even after Edward Snowden, that the amount of labor and effort required to surveil everyone would be extensive. However, with AI scrapers now collecting, sorting, organizing and analyzing data, mass surveillance is possible. What George Orwell got right is that not only is Big Brother watching you, but Big Brother also knows what to do to control you.

There is a purpose in keeping plans murky, in hopes of preventing anarchy and protests, which are also associated with Uranus. The 12th house is about secret enemies, both home and abroad.

I cannot stress this point enough: Uranus does not play favorites. As easily as it can cause disruption to others, it can also implode the workings that go on behind the scenes.

The 2nd House in Cancer

Jupiter, exalted in the sign of Cancer and in the 2nd house, would imply the possibility of a strong economy, but with the South Node in Virgo in the 4th house, what is discussed about the economy could be different than what is actually happening. Messaging again is obscure and data is indeterminate. With Jupiter’s square to Venus and trine to Mars, the actions taken by the United States involve overspending.

Jupiter takes risks, so military actions could reflect wishful thinking that through strikes, the United States can reap the benefits of seizing others’ resources, such as oil and land, which ties into Uranus in the 12th house. The overspending is in hopes that the United States can make money on its exploits, propping up financial institutions and trade.

Here is the catch with Jupiter though: it tends to be easy come and easy go with money. As revenue comes in, expenditures happen at the same or greater pace. The exuberance of this planet in the 2nd house could lead the government to promise rebates or checks to consumers, in order to manage their displeasure with the warfare the government is engaged in. There is a chance the government throws money around with an overly optimistic view of the future.

There is also another side to this coin. Cancer is about defense, and the US has decades of weaponry in surplus. Twisted as this sounds, the use of US weapons has the potential to be part of a negotiation campaign to have other countries purchase more armaments, thus lining some influential pockets.

Ideally, the US economy would hold up during the next six months, and data may reflect that. However, inflation can increase with this Jupiter placement, expanding affordability issues.

The 4th House in Virgo

The homeland and domestic matters reside in the 4th house. The South Node is in Virgo here, a point of release and moving away from something deeply embedded in the nation’s domestic structure.

The South Node sometimes presents as a literal drain, and in the sign of Virgo, we could see a drain on resources, including land and the workers on it. Labor in general may be impacted. The old way of doing things is challenged, and the next six months could feel feudal in nature, with democracy of the past contrasted with oligarchy and the beneficiaries of this unbalanced nation.

Unofficially, part of the United States is in a recession. However, top earners are spending, which gives a mixed picture of the economy. Jupiter in the 2nd house with the South Node in the 4th shows the disparity between two groups of people: the haves and the have-nots. The average person may struggle over the next six months.

Recapping the Aries Ingress Chart

With the current leadership in the United States, it is easy to surmise that this is a nation whose government lacks transparency and muddles information, which is shown with Mercury in Pisces. It is difficult to hold the administration accountable for its consequential actions, due to Mars in Pisces and the support of Congress.

Congress’s power is continuing to dissolve with the Saturn-Neptune conjunction in the 11th house. The 11th house stellium plays an important role over the next six months, and public sentiment may sour as time progresses.

How the US is perceived by others is changing into something that may be unrecognizable and unclear. For the most part, the United States feels unstable.

When I look at this chart, I see an ouroboros that has progressed from the tail, eating the entire body and ready to swallow the head whole. Something different is being birthed while the past is decaying, like a dead snake on hot asphalt. Yes, this sounds dire when you first read it, but change can feel dramatic even when it’s a slow burn.

Before digging into the meaning and impacts of the New Moon, let’s go over the logistics. The New Moon is exact on March 18th, 2026 at approximately 8:23 PM CDT. When it is exact, the Sun and Moon will be at 28 degrees and 27 minutes in the zodiac sign of Pisces. Though the North Node is also in the sign of Pisces, the node is more than 17 degrees from the new moon, which means this New Moon is not an eclipse, however it is considered to be within eclipse season.

Though the Aries Saturn-Neptune conjunction is separating, this conjunction is within the orb of influence with the New Moon. This may feel like a powerful New Moon, one where you confront old institutions and your belief in authority, structure and government. Saturn tends to restrict, set boundaries and can provoke difficult and challenging circumstances, while Neptune erodes the old and outworn attitudes and beliefs. It can at times be delusional or illusionary, but eventually, Neptune can open us to a wider perspective.

You could be looking at the world, thinking there must be a better way to exist. There could be an inner battle within you, as you explore dystopian and utopian themes and you may ask yourself, why is it so much easier to believe in a dystopia than the possibility of a utopian world? This New Moon has you confronting what you have known and accepted in the past with what you genuinely desire for the future.

With the sextile to Uranus, there is opportunity for insight. You may want to make sudden moves, both literally and figuratively. You could gain clarity on what holds you back and causes your restrictive thinking. Strong, powerful shower thoughts or flashes of intuition can happen on the day of the New Moon. You could even see layers of possibilities that you find exciting. What will be evident for many, is that the old ways of living and governing don’t work for the majority of us. And even in the darkest of news, the flashes of inspiration we get could lead us down a new path.

With Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Mars and Mercury all active in this chart, the one thing this New Moon is telling us is that it will take effort. Change doesn’t happen just with wishful thinking. Mars is in trine to Jupiter, which is now direct. Mars in Pisces is creative. It urges us to look for solutions we haven’t thought of yet. With the flowing energy of Jupiter, you most likely believe you can achieve whatever it is that you set your heart upon. You can expand your goals and take action. This isn’t about manifesting but about what you act upon in the moment, that can have a long term impact.

With Venus in Aries square to Jupiter, it may be difficult not to be a little selfish, or you could lack discipline, especially in regards to your actions. You could be quite impulsive around the New Moon and buy something beyond your means. You may justify it as something that has long lasting value. For instance, you could be eyeing a designer purse or upgrading a tech gadget. I am not saying don’t do it, but check your upcoming bills and make sure you are not creating a future problem based on a desire as opposed to a need. Jupiter in Cancer gives us exuberance, and while I am all for positive thinking, it is also big on gambling and taking risks that are not well thought out.

And this cycles us back to Mercury retrograde in Pisces. Though this planet goes direct in a couple of days, our thoughts are not the clearest when it comes to practical matters with the Piscean energy. Our minds tend to wander, and energetically, we tend to be sponges, absorbing everything around us. This is why this New Moon is more about creativity than manifesting.

So what should you be doing during the new moon? Settle into a quiet space, take some slow deep breaths, close your eyes and imagine the world you want. Do a guided meditation -- many are available on streaming channels. Go out into nature and notice the details, a little flower bloom, the chirp of a bird, or how the sunlight filters through the trees. If you are inspired, draw, paint, write, bake, cook, rearrange furniture or do some other act that taps you into the creative force of this Piscean New Moon.

I also want to give some motherly advice to everyone who is reading this. The world has always been turbulent, but the amount of turbulence varies. We are living through heightened times, and the news cycle will only get more intrusive and illusive simultaneously. I have been sent videos of psychic and astrological predictions that may not be wrong, but are rooted in fearmongering click-bait with no mention of how the energy they are tapping into most likely has nothing to do with the viewer’s personal life.

Mature mystics and astrologers are not about fearmongering. This doesn’t mean that the people making the videos have no validity, but I urge you to have some levity. Whenever I am stressed by world events, I start looking at things like the statistical odds of something happening to me or my loved ones. Of course, I am also looking at personal chart transits as well. And this is my point -- what happens on the world stage can be completely different for you personally. During every war, people fall in love, get married, have children, create community and live their lives, even when the turbulence is high. This is why there are so many books and movies about wartime, and if you notice, most of these stories are about human relationships with the war as a background.

What most people need right now is not an analytical breakdown, but acknowledgment of the uncertainty they’re feeling.

All of the personal planets and the Sun are in the sign of Pisces. With Mercury Retrograde, it is important to take your time with information and to reflect upon the past. With Venus, relationships can feel either electric and exciting or draining and confusing. This is due to the conjunction Venus is making with Saturn and Neptune in Aries and the sextile to Uranus in Taurus.

Jupiter emphasizes this eclipse with its sextile to the Moon and trine to the Sun. Since Jupiter is in retrograde, you may find yourself revisiting the past, be it the history of the world or your own personal history. You may recognize patterns, which in turn could help you to be optimistic about long term outcomes, even if the current situation is stressful for you.

I do want to say that this eclipse is part of Saros Series 133. According to esteemed astrologer Bernadette Brady, this series is about breaking free from a hopeless and negative situation to one that is positive. If you’ve been worrying, you may gain some clarity. Now is the time to take action.

And this goes along with Saturn and Neptune in Aries. We are at a critical time where we need to stop being in a paralyzed state of fear and tap into our personal courage. Yes, there is no denying that the past couple of months have our heads spinning. This, in the grand scheme of the universe, is necessary, at least, that is my opinion. It may not be the easiest of times, but this eclipse is one of the many astrological events this year that moves us away from victimhood and toward the warrior within.

Did I heed my own advice? Kind of. But I am late in getting this article together due to the energy of this week, and a personal loss that I am still processing.

We start off the month with Mars square Uranus, which is energy carried over from February; along with other transits. As Saturn slowly separates from its conjunction with Neptune in the sign of Aries, and Mercury in retrograde in the sign of Pisces, we will continue to see revelations and experience a personal reckoning with our own illusions.

It is as if the beginning of the month is a reckoning of sorts, an understanding that no matter how astute and fact-based a person you are, there have been assumptions and conclusions that were not quite the whole picture. I think we will see this with recent events that mirror the energy of Mars square Uranus, with the Israeli-US attacks on Iran and the more obscured incident of armed US nationals and Cuba. Before I go further, I do want to say that my heart goes out to all who are impacted, and I am sure yours does as well.

This Mercury Retrograde is not clear-cut and dry, far from it. Something is still out of sight, like looking at the past through smudged glasses. That’s due to the nature of the illusive zodiac sign, where we can be too focused on being the victim, sacrificing our own autonomy, and lost in the sea of illusion and secrets. This isn’t to say we won’t have some clarity during the Mercury Retrograde, but we need to be careful not to think we have all of the answers immediately as events unfold.

This is especially true with actions taken by the US government. In the US Sibly chart, Mercury is in retrograde in the sign of Cancer in the 8th house. At the start of the month, the current Mercury retrograde is in the US’s 4th house and is in trine with the US’s Mercury. Since Mercury is separating from the US’s Mercury, we may get half-truths or information that is clouded. We could even feel that what is conveyed makes no sense at all.

Needless to say, this month starts off with stress, be it on the world stage or quite possibly in your personal life. This is not the easiest energy to navigate, so make sure to give yourself rest and care.

With that said, what we are dealing with at the beginning of the month started in February, so the two months may feel like they blur together, especially in hindsight. The Full Moon occurs on the 3rd, and it is a lunar eclipse in the sign of Virgo. With the eclipse at 12 degrees and 53 minutes, square to the US’s natal Uranus, we will most likely see political backlash from the public regarding events over the past week. However, foreign issues will most likely dominate the space around the eclipse, regardless of public sentiment.

In my opinion, March’s unique astrology doesn’t start until later, since the eclipse of the 3rd is part of the eclipse pairing that started on February 17th.

For me, the big astrological event this month happens on March 20th, which is the Aries Stellium that occurs with the Sun’s ingress. Here we have the Sun, Neptune, Saturn, Venus, the Moon and Chiron sharing space together. Aries is the sign of spontaneity. It initiates; it is direct and active. This does not negate the eclipse on the 3rd, which I do think of as a bookend to February and the ongoing energy of this decade.

In mundane astrology, the Aries Ingress chart sets the tone for each country. When we cast the chart for 10:46 AM EDT in Washington, DC, we find the Aries configuration in the 11th house. This is the house of legislation and Congress. It also has to do with friends of the nation.

I’ve stated for the past few months that we may see Congress attempt to reel in the administration. Recently, we saw the US Supreme Court rule against the current tariffs and the push for the Epstein files to be released by Congress. Though it may not seem like much, these were actions that were dormant during 2025. And with the recent attack on Iran, we could see Congress step in, especially if the Trump administration tries to declare an official war with Iran.

Before we do a breakdown by weeks, let’s review some key dates of ingress, direction changes, and Full and New Moons. Keep in mind, daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 8th, 2026.

• March 2nd: Mars ingresses into the sign of Pisces at approximately 8:16 AM CST

• March 3rd: Full Moon in the sign of Virgo at approximately 5:38 AM CST (Lunar Eclipse)

• March 6th: Venus ingresses into the sign of Aries at approximately 4:46 AM CST

• March 10th: Jupiter stations direct in the sign of Cancer at approximately 10:30 PM CDT

• March 18th: New Moon in the sign of Pisces at approximately 8:23 PM CDT

• March 20th: Sun enters the sign of Aries at approximately 9:46 AM CDT

• March 20th: Mercury stations direct in the sign of Pisces at approximately 2:33 PM CDT

The above dates do not include transits, which I will cover in the week-to-week breakdown.

March 1st through March 7th

Let’s take a deep breath as we start this week. In fact, if you can meditate, slow down and disconnect as much as possible from the noise, you could have a good week. Keep in mind, world events will happen regardless of what you do day to day. Also, your own chart could be one that benefits from current transits.

We start the week with the Pisces Sun, Mercury and Venus in trine to Jupiter in retrograde in the sign of Cancer. This is a good day to literally count your blessings and do a mental review of everything you are grateful for in your life: family, connection, community.

With Mercury in its detriment and retrograde, it may be hard to narrow down specifics, but with the conjunction to Venus in exaltation, you may find peace through music, beauty and art. If you are creative by nature, take the time for artistic expression. (This is an energy that reminds me of the Jesus Jones song, “Right Here, Right Now,” inspired by the fall of the Berlin Wall. Something you create now may take a warm space in your heart in the future.)

With the Aries Saturn-Neptune conjunction sextile to Pluto in Aquarius, you could push yourself toward a humanitarian cause, even if you don’t yet have a clear picture of what you want to be doing. With Saturn sextile to Uranus, you may have a new idea on how to tackle old problems, merging existing processes with innovation.

Mars will remain square to Uranus through the 5th, but changes signs into Pisces on the 2nd. In its separating energy, we may be taking actions to fix or resolve issues from last week, looking for harmonious resolutions.

The big news this week occurs on the 3rd, which is the lunar eclipse. This Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo. Virgo energy is about being of service to others along with critical data analysis. This is a total eclipse and can be seen over northeast Asia, northwestern North America, and the central Pacific Ocean. If you are on the east coast of North America, you may be able to see a partial eclipse.

As a midpoint in a cycle, you may be inspired to go out and vote or participate in an activity that helps someone else. It doesn’t have to be a monumental action, it could be as simple as holding a door open, letting someone catch the elevator, or implementing a solution that saves time or effort.

In the United States, there could be hasty decisions made by the administration this week, and there could be some conflict. This has to do with the eclipse square to Trump’s natal Uranus in the 11th house and square to the US Sibley chart’s Uranus in the 7th house. Most likely, there will be members of Congress calling out Trump for the actions that occurred with Iran.

On the 6th, Venus ingresses into the sign of Aries, where it is in its detriment. Venus is the planet of relationships, beauty, harmony and finance. In Aries, it can be impulsive and create an energy of self-sabotage, such as literally provoking your partner for attention, causing discord, or impulsively shopping for clothing and beauty products that don’t align with your aesthetic.

By Friday, with the inferior Mercury conjunction with the Sun, known as a cazimi, there could be a much-publicized revisiting of past events. I expect this day to be filled with speculation and excessive communication, though any messaging may be confusing and in need of clarification. This applies both personally and on the world stage. On a personal level, you could receive an email at work that requires you to ask for more information; on the world stage, some of the confusion may be intentional.

We end the week with Venus conjunct Neptune. This aspect inspires daydreams, but with Saturn nearby, you may be looking inward for ways to simultaneously detach and stay connected to others. This energy may seem counterproductive, but it is quite the opposite. It is practical humanitarianism blended with creativity, allowing you to assess your skills without feeling responsible for everything outside your control.

March 8th through March 14th

The energy of last week bleeds over, and Mars in Pisces is now within orb of influence of a conjunction to the North Node. Ideally, over the weekend, you were not drinking yourself into oblivion or taking action to escape from reality, no matter how tempting it may be. Instead, channel that impulse into something that supports personal growth, such as meditation, which could yield a long-term payoff.

On the evening of the 10th, Jupiter goes direct. Since November 11th, Jupiter has been in retrograde. Even though Jupiter is in its exaltation in the sign of Cancer, you may not have seen its most optimistic and fortunate impacts since then. With its direct motion, we could begin to see some of Jupiter’s benefits. But don’t expect everything to quickly change for the better, since Jupiter in Cancer expands everything from tribalism to an overconcern with safety and security. At its best, Jupiter in Cancer is nurturing. At its worst, it is defensive and grandiose.

On the 10th and 11th, with Jupiter in trine to the Sun and Mercury in retrograde, you may feel somewhat optimistic. Your thoughts may be reviewing past events and recognizing that after troubled times, good things followed. With the Moon in Sagittarius, a Jupiter-ruled sign, you could see the world as an adventure you are part of and feel how being in the here and now is part of your learning journey.

Overall, this week could be pleasant, if it wasn’t for Mercury’s retrograde. With Mercury applying a conjunction to Mars and in trine to Jupiter, you may want to use the weekend to work on your taxes, wills or other paperwork. However, due to Mercury in retrograde, hold off on submitting anything until you’ve done a thorough review. If a due date falls after Mercury goes direct on March 20th, consider doing a final pass at that time, before finalizing.

Also, if you notice someone else making a mistake, which can easily happen with Mercury in Pisces, reach out gently and with compassion. Don’t call people out publicly, because there is a good chance it could backfire on you. You may find an error in someone else’s work, but your own work may not be beyond reproach.

Just remember, Mercury in Pisces is not about specifics, but about thinking of what inspires you, and while in retrograde, your daydreams may lead you back to something you left behind that you may want to revisit.

Mars conjuncts the North Node for most of this week and into next, going exact on the 12th. Expect anything involving liquids to be volatile, including gas prices. With potential disruptions to the Strait of Hormuz, prices of other goods could also be impacted.

March 15th through March 21st

We start with a New Moon in the sign of Pisces, the last moon of the solar year that began last March when the Sun entered Aries. The New Moon occurs on the 18th and will be exact at 28 degrees and 27 minutes. This moon can be beneficial, as long as you know how to work with the influence of the Aries Saturn-Neptune conjunction just a couple of degrees away.

Neptune erodes the foundation, allowing you to move forward with a new plan. With the Moon and Sun in an out-of-sign conjunction with Neptune, you could be picking up the moods of others and becoming overwhelmed by outside influences. Due to Saturn’s influence, feelings of guilt and isolation could arise during the New Moon. You could feel a need to take on the weight of the world and assign yourself responsibilities that are not yours.

Because of the influence of Saturn and Neptune, I would be wary when it comes to manifesting during this New Moon. Mercury retrograde isn’t helping either. Your best bet is to spend time nurturing your thoughts and feelings, allowing your emotions to rise to the surface without mind-altering substances that could cloud your senses.

At times, Uranus gets a bad rap, but this is when Uranus can help you. Since it is in sextile to the New Moon, you could receive flashes of intuition, bringing forth welcomed insights. You could feel restless and want to make changes in your life. Being with trusted friends and engaging in small group activities could be exactly what you need during the New Moon.

On Friday the 20th, we have the astrological new year, with the Sun entering the sign of Aries. Known as the spring equinox, this is the time when we truly feel we are part of a new cycle.

As mentioned above, we will have the Sun, Neptune, Saturn, Venus, the Moon and Chiron in the sign of Aries. 2026 is about addressing our hopes and dreams, taking responsibility for bringing them to fruition, initiating relationships and creative pursuits, allowing ourselves to express our emotions, and taking action when it comes to our wounds. It is not about wallowing, commiserating or clinging to the past. This year is about reengaging with the fire within.

This does not mean that we throw away the compassion and desire for understanding cultivated while Neptune and Saturn were in Pisces. On the 20th, Mercury stations and goes direct, a pivot from reflection and stagnation towards empathetic action-oriented communication. Mars, amplified by its trine to Jupiter, beckons us to take risks without forgetting to be sensitive to those around us. This is a transit rich in both instinct and drive, empathy and passion.

The last time Neptune was in Aries, charities focused on medicine, nursing and infant care emerged largely due in response to the ravages of the United States Civil War. With the current economy and cuts to social programs, philanthropy could grow in 2026. It may take the form of volunteering more so than financial donations, with physical action required to help those in need.

Over the next few weeks, you may have an epiphany about how you can help others, feeling energized as you fix problems and find solutions that have not been properly addressed.

March 22nd through March 28th

This week starts off with a feeling of impatience. This is not a day to tell others how to live their lives, nor will you welcome unsolicited advice or needless direction from others. This restless energy is due to the Moon in conjunction with Uranus in Taurus. Since Uranus is in trine to Pluto, there could be a battle of wills over philosophical positions. I wouldn’t be surprised if public forums like Reddit see heated arguments over topics like astrology.

Also on the 22nd, Mars is in trine to Jupiter, which will give you plenty of energy. This energy carries us through most of the rest of the month. You may feel like you have foresight when it comes to future events, so just be careful not to push your beliefs on others, since your opinion may not sit well. However, you can channel this energy into any projects you are tackling.

The 25th can be an emotionally heavy day, and you could be feeling somewhat despondent. This isn’t a terrible day by any means, but with the Cancer Moon square to Saturn and Neptune, your view of the world and circumstances could be more a reflection of public sentiment than your own circumstances. However, this period is brief, and any sadness you feel will most likely not last long. Take a break from social media and the news, and spend time in nature if you can. Some momentary separation from the noise could recharge your personal battery.

On the 26th, Venus is in an exact conjunction with Chiron. You may find yourself discussing relationship issues with a partner, friend or therapist. Since these two bodies are in the sign of Aries, you may be more concerned with what action to take to move forward than with rehashing the past.

Due to Saturn’s sextile with Pluto and Saturn’s conjunction with the Sun, this is a productive week. Keeping busy and finishing tasks is the best use of this energy. The astrological sky is making many sextiles and trines, which means that energy, for the most part, flows easily. Get your to-do list out, narrow down what tasks are crucial, and take care of those priorities first.

With that said, this does not mean all is quiet on the world stage. Conflict, based on the charts of many nations, may continue this week. However, on a personal level, this is a good week for resetting, taking care of business and concentrating on mentally demanding projects.

March 29th through March 31st

Last week was productive and your energy may be running high. With the Aries Sun in square to Jupiter in Cancer, you may be taking on too many projects at once. Cardinal energy loves to say yes and start every idea that comes to mind. This can lead to overextension. Instead of jumping from one thing to the next, be systematic and jot everything down first. This could help you work through your list using the 3 D’s, a technique from Stephen Covey.

The 3 D’s are: Do, Delegate, or Dump. I learned this back in the ’90s, and I can honestly say it has helped me when I’ve been overwhelmed. List everything you think you have to do. First, determine what you can Dump, as many times we carry items that have no real priority. Then, identify anything that someone else could do for you and Delegate. For instance, why sweep your floors when a robotic vacuum can do the same thing? After this process, you should have a much smaller list and can prioritize from there.

With Mercury in trine to Jupiter, you will be focused on business, career and other important matters. Since Mercury is in Pisces, any organizing method you use can be helpful, the key is simply to have one.

As you can see, March settles in as the month progresses, going from tension to productivity. You just may end the month doing some spring cleaning, and with a feeling like the tide has shifted.

Some see this as a fresh start. Aries is considered the beginning of the zodiac wheel, the first sign, marked by the season of spring. Newness, beginnings, and an energetic tone tend to emerge around this time of year.

The 0 degree point in astrology is known as a world degree when it occurs in a Cardinal sign. The Cardinal signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. When major transits happen at a world degree, the events that unfold often seem fated and play out visibly on the world stage. This is why mundane astrologers cast Ingress Charts for nations when the Sun enters a Cardinal sign at 0 degrees.

Before I dive in further, I cannot stress enough that we have been under the Saturn-Neptune influence for quite some time. However, that energy, up until last week, was in Pisces. Though the conjunction perfects on the 20th at 10:54 AM Central Standard Time, this does not mean its effects are limited to that moment. The two planets have been within orb of influence for the past year and will continue to be in orb for the next seven months.

Slow-moving transits, such as Saturn-Neptune conjunctions, are often easier to evaluate in hindsight rather than while they are unfolding. This is due to the nature of these planets and how their effects manifest in the world.

Saturn, in mundane astrology, tends to influence older populations. It can govern the death rate of a nation, and life-threatening epidemics have historically been associated with Saturn. Saturn disappoints, and we could see increased public sorrow related to specific funerals. It is also associated with those who own land, such as farmers, and with materials drawn from the land, including metals and minerals.

Whereas Saturn can be uncompromising, Neptune is yielding. Neptune is associated with collectivism, socialism, communism, and left-wing political ideas. I am not referring to a particular political party here, and the left-wing reference is based on global politics, not the United States definition. Neptune is also associated with mob-like groups, secret plots, sedition, fraud, and swindling. It can be riddled with vice, illicit undertakings, and bogus companies.

Saturn is the old man, the authority figure, the pinnacle of restriction, control, and responsibility. It can be thought of as a rock, the last jutting edge before the ocean. Neptune is the ocean. Its waves erode the rock, creating illusion and distortion. Each wave of idealism crashes against Saturn, causing confusion or escapism. Neptune attempts to break the rock down into many granular pieces of sand.

This is why, historically, when we look back at Saturn-Neptune conjunctions, two main themes emerge. One is the dissolution of authority, and the other relates to illness and medical breakthroughs.

Before going into the historical examples, I need to point out a few things. It has been over 6,000 years since we last experienced a Saturn-Neptune conjunction at 0 degrees Aries. In many ways, this makes it a new experience, one we can only partially speculate about due to the lack of solid historical reference. This does not negate the cycle we can observe through recorded history, as we did have a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in 1703. There is considerable hoopla surrounding the 0 degree placement of this conjunction, and some of that may be overhype. Only time will tell. Regardless, change is inevitable, just as it has been in the past.

Governments and Leaders Under the Saturn-Neptune Conjunction

I reviewed incidents that occurred close to the exact Saturn-Neptune conjunctions of the past. This conjunction occurs approximately every 36.4 years. Due to the wide orb of influence, one could zoom out and examine months before and after the exact alignment for additional context. For brevity, I narrowed my focus to major historical mundane events tied closely to the conjunctions.

1989: March 3rd, June 23rd (Rx), and November 13th, Capricorn
Theme: Fall of the Berlin Wall, collapse of Communist Eastern Europe, dissolution of old structures

• Fall of the Berlin Wall

• Revolutions of 1989 in Eastern Europe (Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Romania)

• Tiananmen Square protests and massacre

• End of the Soviet-Afghan War

• F.W. de Klerk becomes South African president and begins dismantling apartheid

1952-1953: November 21st, May 17th (Rx), and July 23rd, Libra
Theme: Stalin’s death, end of a Soviet era, uprisings

• Stalin’s death

• Korean War armistice

• Iranian coup

• East German uprising

1917: July 31st, Leo
Theme: Russian revolutions and regime collapse

• The July Days: Lenin escapes to Finland, Trotsky is arrested

After reading this, you may feel overwhelmed, so let me rein this in. The underlying thread is that existing political orders faced crisis. Established powers were challenged and overthrown, leading to shifts in government structures. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction is associated with revolutionary change, regime collapse, and political transformation that often leads toward more collectivist approaches to leadership.

In the United States, we have seen a steady erosion of personal rights. Some losses, such as digital privacy, have largely gone unnoticed, while others, like the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the state laws that followed, are more visible. Within the past year, this erosion may feel sudden, but when viewed across the past few decades, including declining affordability, healthcare access, and wage stability, the intensity of the current period makes more sense.

The midpoint of the Saturn-Neptune cycle is the Saturn-Neptune opposition, which occurred, due to retrogrades, between 2006 and 2007. This opposition took place in Leo, a sign associated with kingship, extravagance, and dominance. Perhaps this is what the current conjunction seeks to erode.

Keep in mind that Saturn and Neptune have been within a few degrees of each other for over a year. While recent developments may appear sudden, they are the result of a long buildup. This conjunction represents just one astrological lens through which to understand what is unfolding globally.

In 2025, we saw multiple government overthrows, impeachments, and widespread protests around the world.

• Government overthrows in Nepal, Madagascar (coup), and Peru (impeachment)

• South Korean president arrested and impeached

• Ongoing crises in Armenia, Bangladesh, France, Georgia, Germany, Haiti, and Somalia

• Syrian regime change following the fall of Assad

• A wave of Gen Z-led protests toppling governments

In 2026, Neptune entered Aries on January 26th, and on January 30th, the final batch of Epstein files was released. Neptune is associated with illicit activity and organized networks, while Saturn represents accountability. Since the latest release, the following events have occurred:

• Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, former prince, arrested February 19 for misconduct in public office and stripped of royal titles

• Thorbjørn Jagland, former Norwegian prime minister, charged with gross corruption on February 12

• Mona Juul, Norwegian ambassador, resigned February 9 amid corruption investigations

• Jack Lang, former French culture minister, resigned February 7 as head of the Arab World Institute

• Peter Mandelson, British politician, resigned February 4 from the Labour Party and House of Lords

• Morgan McSweeney, UK prime minister’s chief of staff, resigned February 8 following the Mandelson appointment

• Miroslav Lajčák, Slovakian national security adviser, resigned January 31 following email revelations

• Dr. Letty Moss-Salentijn, Columbia University dental vice dean, stripped of title February 11

• Dr. Thomas Magnani, Epstein’s dentist, severed ties with Columbia University February 11

• David A. Ross, art world figure, resigned February 3 as SVA department chair

• Thomas J. Pritzker, Hyatt Hotels heir, resigned February 16 as executive chairman

• Casey Wasserman, 2028 LA Olympics chair, began selling his agency February 13

• Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, head of DP World, resigned February 13

• Kathryn Ruemmler, former Goldman Sachs general counsel and Obama administration lawyer, announced resignation February 12

• Brad Karp, chairman of Paul Weiss, resigned February 4

The fallout from these revelations is ongoing. With the conjunction remaining within orb for the next six months, we may see revisits to these files and further consequences. Neptune goes retrograde on July 7th, followed by Saturn retrograde on July 26th. In September, the two planets return to a close orb of influence, lasting until January 2027. This story is far from over.

An important pattern to note is that this and the prior two Saturn-Neptune conjunctions occurred in Cardinal signs. Cardinal signs initiate action and movement. We see this reflected in arrests, accusations, and the removal of individuals from high-profile positions.

Under the Capricorn Saturn-Neptune conjunction, we witnessed the collapse of rigid structures. With Aries, we may continue to see the fall of leaders, particularly those who are older, involved in illicit activity, or out of step with the collective.

With this Aries energy, there appears to be a shift away from the wallowing and commiseration associated with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. Over the past year, there was a sense that the public was waiting for a leader to intervene and fix what was unfolding. Now, with the energy in Aries, there may be a realization that the savior is ourselves, and that meaningful change requires public action and demand.

To look even further back, the last recorded Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries occurred in 1703. Unlike the current conjunction, it did not take place at a world degree, occurring instead at 11 degrees on March 27th, 1703.

Recorded history from that era is less robust, but some parallels stand out.

• England’s Recruiting Act went into effect, allowing forcible enlistment of able-bodied but unemployed men into the English Army and Royal Navy to fight Queen Anne’s War in North America.
