It signifies a time when humanity seeks to move beyond hierarchical structures and embraces collaboration and technological advancement. In Aquarian nature, I feel the need to clarify the difference between the Age of Aquarius and what we are experiencing now with Pluto in Aquarius. The Age of Aquarius refers to an era spanning thousands of years, while Pluto in Aquarius represents a specific 20-year period (2023–2044) in which this generational planet moves through the sign of Aquarius, intensifying its themes of transformation and revolution.

Pluto’s presence in Aquarius often marks times of profound societal upheaval and transformation. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius (1778–1798) coincided with the American and French Revolutions, periods of rebellion against oppressive systems and the rise of ideals centered around equality and liberty. These revolutions dismantled entrenched structures, paving the way for new societal frameworks—aligning perfectly with Pluto’s role as the planet of destruction and rebirth.

However, the years following these revolutions reveal the complexity of societal transformation. In the Americas, independence brought freedom from colonial rule but also new challenges, such as economic instability, unresolved social inequalities, and the continued existence of slavery. Similarly, in France, while the monarchy was overthrown, the revolution eventually gave way to internal strife, the rise of Napoleon, and the establishment of an empire—not the egalitarian utopia many had envisioned.
